Dear Friends

Nepal continues to face the devastating impact of flash floods and landslides. Thousands of people are still missing, and sadly, the number of casualties continues to rise. Rescue and search operations are ongoing.

Our Nepal Army, Nepal Police, local communities, and tunnel rescue experts from India and China are working tirelessly to rescue people trapped inside the hydropower tunnels.

The major Kathmandu–Pokhara/Chitwan highway is also blocked by another massive landslide. It may take one to two months to reopen, which could make the transportation of essential supplies such as food and cooking gas very difficult.

Thank you to all our dear international friends for your love, concern, prayers, and messages in this difficult time. Your solidarity means so much to us. We truly feel how deeply you care for Nepal. ❤️🙏

I am deeply saddened to share that Nepal has once again been struck by a devastating disaster. The sudden flood in Rasuwa, near the border with China, has caused significant damage to homes, roads, bridges, businesses and other infrastructure.

The disaster, reportedly triggered by the bursting of a glacial lake, has caused widespread destruction and left many families facing an extremely difficult situation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. 🙏❤️

We appeal to individuals, organizations and concerned authorities to come forward with rescue, relief and support for the affected families. Every effort and every helping hand can make a difference during this difficult time.

Please stay safe and take care. 🇳🇵🙏 by @santoshchh

Today, we mourn a profound loss. Nepal has lost a national icon, the world has lost a legend, and the mountaineering community has lost one of its brightest lights.

The recent avalanche in Pakistan has taken away brave souls whose passion and courage touched countless lives. My heartfelt condolences go out to all the families and loved ones facing this unimaginable grief. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in this difficult time.

Your legacy will forever guide and inspire generations.

Rest in peace, Nims Dai, and may all those who lost their lives alongside you rest in eternal peace. 🕊️🇳🇵 by @santoshchh
