Two years ago, on this very day, Yellow Door opened its doors for its very first show.

What started with a simple thought — to create a space where people could come together for music, theatre, poetry, conversations and art — slowly turned into something much more than a space.
It became a little community.

A place for artists to create, audiences to connect, and all of us to share a few beautiful moments together.

Over these two years, we’ve seen wonderful performances, met incredible artists, shared countless conversations and made memories that we’ll carry with us.

To every artist, performer, collaborator, audience member, friend and well-wisher who has walked through our yellow door — thank you.

Here’s to everything we’ve created together, and to all the stories, songs, performances and memories still waiting to unfold.

2018 साली पार्किन्सनचे निदान झाले. हाताला कंप सुरू झाला. पण एक आश्चर्यकारक गोष्ट जाणवली — जेव्हा जेव्हा गणपती रेखाटायला घेतला, तेव्हा हात स्थिर व्हायला लागला. डॉक्टरांनीही सांगितले, “छंद जोपासला की मन आनंदी राहते आणि डोपामिनचे स्त्रवण उत्तम होते.”
आणि मग हा प्रवास थांबला नाही… उलट अधिक अर्थपूर्ण होत गेला. लहानपणीच्या छंदाचे रूपांतर उपचारामधे झाले.
आज या 1001 गणपतींच्या रेखाटनांचा प्रवास कला प्रदर्शनाच्या रूपाने आपल्यासमोर आणत आहे.
हे केवळ चित्रांचे प्रदर्शन नाही, तर जिद्द, श्रद्धा आणि कलेच्या उपचारक्षम शक्तीचा प्रवास आहे. हा प्रवास फक्त माझ्या पुरता नाहीये तर मला यातून प्रत्येकाला संदेश द्यायचा आहे की जीवनात आपली ‘हॅपी प्लेस’ शोधली , एखादा छंद जपला, तर कला कोणतीही वेदना, कोणताही संघर्ष हलका करण्याची ताकद देते.

For the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), Mantralaya, Mumbai, Postworks Studio created:

A project that involved translating a complex system into clear, impactful visual communication.

We were glad to host the wonderful Spruha Joshi at Yellow Door Studio for her live show Whyfal Gappa show.
She not only lit up the evening with her warmth, wit, and words, but also shared how much she loved the space — saying she would love to return again.
Moments like these make our studio feel truly alive.

Aranya Akshar Hotana!!

25th January felt like stepping into a living forest.
@swapnilphadkeofficial 's readings brought Chitampalli sir’s stories to life, and @sanikamanojmhaskar gently unfolded the journey of the man behind them.

Pyaav Tales – Water Heritage of Mumbai
A presentation by Architect & History Enthusiast Rahul Chemburkar
Yellow Door Studio & Vaastu Vidhan Projects presents Pyaav Tales, a visual and narrative exploration of Mumbai’s forgotten water heritage. Through research, photographs, and storytelling, architect and history enthusiast Rahul Chemburkar traces the story of pyaavs—public drinking water fountains that once played a vital role in the city’s everyday life.
Built by philanthropists in the 19th and 20th centuries, these stone-carved fountains were more than water points; they were social landmarks rooted in generosity, faith, and community care. Often overlooked today, pyaavs offer powerful insights into how cities once nurtured shared resources.
This session brings together architecture, history, and collective memory, encouraging reflection on the relevance of these structures in today’s urban landscape.
