I’ve overthought my way through life — backspaced and rewritten things a dozen times (including this caption).

But somehow, this time, it led me here. And honestly, I still can’t believe it. I mean… how do you even explain the feeling of seeing something so deeply personal, printed, bound, and sent out into the world?🥹

As a kid, I used to dream about this — writing a book, seeing people talk about it, signing the first page. But it always felt like just a dream. Until today.

I didn’t set out to write a book. I just wrote. Scribbles. Unnamed feelings. Tiny moments that slowly grew into stories — some mine, some yours, some somewhere in between. And in the quiet space between healing and hiding, this book was born.

My hands are still trembling as I type this, but here it is:

Guess what?
I went back to my school for an Annual Day — but this time, I wasn’t backstage.

For as long as I can remember, Annual Days meant running around, fixing things at the last minute, and making sure everything went smoothly. I rarely sat down long enough to actually watch. But this time, I did. I sat in the audience, quietly taking it all in and realising I was here no longer as a student, but as the alumni guest of honour.🥹

Watching the little kids dance and laugh took me straight back to my preschool days, almost 23 years ago. Same place. Same noise. Same excitement. Just a very different version of me standing there now.

Meeting teachers from my preschool and secondary school years felt like time hadn’t moved at all. And somewhere between the hugs, familiar faces, and half-finished conversations, my eyes welled up without warning.

I felt a lot all at once — overwhelmed, emotional, deeply grateful. Grateful to return years after graduating and still feel connected to a place that once held all my first dreams.

That’s when it hit me.
Some places don’t just teach you things. They stay with you. And @wittyinternationalschool will always be one of mine.

Somewhere in the middle of the ocean, jetskiing a little too fast, I caught myself laughing at the thought that if I told my 16-year-old self about this moment, she’d probably look at me and say, “Stop lying.”

Because turning 25 on international waters was not exactly on my vision board.

Yet there I was — holding a slightly chaotic chrome 25, wind in my face, salt in my hair, tan lines doing just fine, and water stretching endlessly in every direction. 🌊

And all I could think was, how did life even end up here?

A year ago, I started this page. No plan, no strategy, just a bunch of half thoughts that didn’t really have anywhere else to go. I didn’t start it because I had things figured out, but because I didn’t.

And somewhere between then and now, turning 25 has drilled one clear lesson into me: Sometimes you really have to say f*ck it, stop overthinking, and just live. That’s what it’s really about.

Because the truth is, most of us spend way too long waiting for life to make sense before we allow ourselves to live it.

And those 6,240 contacts sitting in your phone? Most of them won’t cheer you on. But trust me, they’ll definitely be watching when you decide to do it anyway. (Learned that the hard way, so here I am telling you, lol 🫣)

It’s funny how younger me would plan vacations around avoiding temple visits… and now I’m voluntarily standing in a crowd of thousands, calling it one of my best decisions of 2026 so far.🙌🏻

Because real life these days? It’s loud in all the wrong ways.
Deadlines. Notifications. Performance pressure. The constant need to be “on.” It drains you before you even realise it.

Standing at @statue.of.belief, surrounded by this energy, felt like a reality away from reality. It was overwhelming, but in a way that grounded me. And that’s when these spiritual detours started making a lot more sense.

Turns out, I didn’t need a break from work (because life as a social media manager doesn’t really pause lol😭). I just needed the right kind of high.🔥

The last Monday of the year is here, and all I want to say is this — what a year 2025 has been.

From teaching me the best lessons to breaking me in ways I didn’t see coming, this year woke me up more than once. It asked uncomfortable questions and made me sit with things I would’ve otherwise rushed past.

Five lessons could never justify a year like this, but these are the ones that stayed with me the longest. Some came gently, some I understood immediately, and some I’m still learning to make peace with.

But if there’s one thing I know for sure — I’m walking into the next year a little more aware, a little more honest, and a lot more myself.

And for the first time, I’m not guilty about it. 🤍

You know those drafts you write, feel too much, delete, and somehow return to days later? This is one of them. (And following the trend, maybe?)

Because growing up comes with a lot of strange, quiet truths, and the one I keep circling back to is this: losing people in your 20s is something no one prepares you for.

They leave like you made the greatest mistake of your life (or asked for their kidney, lol 🙃). Then they pour the entire blame on your head without any explanation or warning. And somehow, you’re still the one trying to make sense of it.

Being almost 25 now, I’ve seen this happen — to me, around me, and far more often than I ever expected. And yes, it used to bother me. When you show up fully and still end up with unanswered questions, of course you wonder if you did something wrong.

But here’s what I’ve realised: not every ending needs closure. If they’re happy to leave with a whole blame-pour-over, why lose sleep over it? Some endings are just life gently pushing you forward, away from the unwanted obstacles that were meant to stay behind.💛

So if you’re growing, don’t pause, don’t shrink, and don’t wait.

Maybe that’s the only 20s closure you really need — choosing growth, trusting your pace, and walking away with a little more confidence than you had yesterday.
