It’s time to finally tell you a little about ECWS 2026 in Gdańsk. 🇵🇱🎨

Gdańsk completely fascinated me! Its beautiful architecture, warm hospitality, wonderful food and countless restaurants and cafés. Somehow, it felt like Bologna in Eastern Europe. A city full of life, history and endless painting motifs.

Our Polish colleagues organised a truly wonderful symposium, with Plein Air painting at the magnificent Malbork Castle and in the historic centre of Gdańsk.

It was a pleasure to paint, explore and exchange ideas with colleagues from Germany, and I was happy to see some fellows from other countries again. @deutscheaquarellgesellschaft @dieterwystemp @tinagehlert_art @viktoriaprischedko @adrianaaatoso @cornelia.boehme @sebastianpattischoen @olga.koelsch @kasia_wiercinska @ifka_art @gabrielekruger61 @minh_dam @tigermilk.multimedia

Thank you to our Polish friends @sap.galeria for these beautiful days and unforgettable memories!

And now we can already look forward to ECWS 2027 in Andalusia, Spain. I’m sure another wonderful event awaits us there! #aquarell #daggws #watercolorart #ecws taken in Gdańsk, Poland by @sap.galeria

Malbork, A tour of the castle complex and plein air painting day excursion as part of the ECWS Syposium in Gdansk Poland. At the end it was paintings on the wall for a lovely display of what people produced and rewards to be given at the Gala dinner the following evening. Well done to everyone from the @watercolour_society_of_ireland for participating. @kate.walsh.5817 @kasperzier @smyth16105061 @mkparacha1957. Myself and @kate.walsh.5817 got inspired by nature and hid a little futher away for the crowd. Kate chose a lovely spot and unknowingly I chose some very stingy looking nettles 😆 no miraculously I didn't get stung and didn't really finish things properly, but here is my to little paintings at the end of the reel. The ducks were quite far away so could have done with my binoculars. Well done to @kasperzier who won an award. Anyway great fun altogether and I'll watch where im sitting next time 😂 Thank again to @sap.galeria for been wonderful hosts.
