Being a reliable bridal assistant isn’t always about being right beside the bride. 🤍
Sometimes, my role means stepping away from the bridal suite because I’m needed elsewhere 💍 and this moment is a perfect example.

While the bride enjoyed some precious quality time with her husband, I was exactly where I needed to be: supporting the catering and coordination team, lending an extra pair of hands and helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Because being a bridal assistant is about more than just assisting the bride ☺️ it’s about anticipating what’s needed, being dependable, and stepping in wherever you can make a difference.

We were honestly a DREAM TEAM! ✨

The Art of the Corset 🤍

In many African cultures, corsets are part of dressing up for special occasions, and they’re often beautifully incorporated into traditional and wedding dresses. But as beautiful as they are, getting into one properly can be a little event in itself! 😅

This bride actually rebooked me after I helped her into this same traditional wedding dress in Antwerp, Belgium. This time, back in London, she needed a little help getting into the top again 🩷 without makeup getting onto the dress, overheating, or having to stress over getting everything sitting just right.

For the Antwerp Wedding wedding, my role included:

• Professional wedding dress steaming
• Bridal dressing & gown positioning
• Styling and final wardrobe checks
• Assisting during the pre-wedding photoshoot
• Looking after the gown throughout the preparations

And despite travelling halfway around the world, the dress arrived beautifully. The travel creases came out easily, and once steamed and dressed, the incredible embroidered fishtail ballgown looked absolutely stunning.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make such a difference ✅ having someone calm and experienced to help you into your dress, particularly a corset, so you can take your time, protect your makeup and enjoy getting ready without the unnecessary stress.

Whether it’s for your own wedding day or a thoughtful gift for a bride, bridal dressing is one of those little details that can make getting ready feel that much easier.

Whether it’s a Traditional wedding, a Muslim wedding, a White wedding or a beautiful blend of cultures, there are always so many little things happening behind the scenes.

From helping with your gown, veil and jewellery, keeping your train just right, making sure the essentials are where they need to be, to helping with last minute touches and keeping you calm when the nerves kick in! I’m there to take care of the details without taking you away from the moment.

It’s about making sure you feel personally looked after, composed and free to enjoy being the bride.

Economic pressures helped reshape what society considered acceptable and necessary.
