Danica Marie Giles-Cunningham my my my. I prayed I never had to see this day but here we are my love. You definitely shattered my heart with this one. I didn’t know that seeing you on Sunday would be the last time I got to touch you and tell you I love you. Anyone that had the opportunity to meet you or get to know you, knew how much of a light you were in this treacherous world. I’m so thankful to have so many amazing memories with you from high school to adulthood and that’s what’s getting me through honestly. You were the person me and Tanesha spent thanksgiving with when we first moved back to Georgia. When I got sick and admitted into the hospital, before I knew I had ESRD, you immediately sprung into action. You came to the hospital, asked what I needed, checked on Tanesha, and took care of Kash. I can go on and on about how beautiful you are but the word count isn’t high enough. Your kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Your energy still radiates through my soul and will continue to do so forever. We were supposed to go to Harry Potter World in April 2023 but I remember you telling me that you were having horrible back pain and at first I thought it could be MS. Then you called on April 18th, from the ER, saying the triage nurse said that it was cancer. My world started spinning but I remained calm because at that time we truly didn’t know what it was. Then as time progressed, I saw how much of a mountain this became. But one thing that never changed was the light in your eyes. You fought tooth and nail and surpassed the doctor’s expectations. You earned and deserve this rest baby girl. I am so so so proud of you!! I find comfort in knowing that you’re now reunited with your mommy and aunt. I pray they guided you on your transition to eternal peace. I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad and moping around but golly. This wasn’t supposed to be your end. You truly deserved so much better but God needed your beautiful energy more. I’m rambling at this point but I just want to say that I’ll see you again best friend.
