Connection has been at the core of every role I have ever held. As an editor and editorial director, it came down to stringing the best words together, assigning stories to writers who could do them justice, and selecting the best people, features, and partnerships for a brand; as a consultant, I find gaps in all kinds of connections and bridge them to help clients reach their next move, their people, their path forward. In a lot of ways, it feels like I’ve been building towards this new role, as managing partner of @apt20agency, my whole life. Now, I get to help artists connect—to clients, to planners and designers, to publishers, to industry networks—so they can continue to do what they do best: create. To me, this feels like an ah-hah moment, a no-brainer—a connection that makes sense to the tenth power. I’m thrilled for this new chapter (balancing agency work and my independent consulting business!) alongside @danielgsilbert. Onward has never looked brighter. Proof that you can plan a seven-day tour of Scotland (Edingburgh, St. Andrews, Perth, Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Glasgow!) five days before you leave so long as you have a gorgeous red-headed Scottish husband willing to schlep you around the country! A trip that was a true amalgamation of our strengths: I planned the route and picked the properties (@thefortingall and @kinloch_lodge were particular highlights!) and @zachvw92 figured out an entirely opposite driving system, navigated razor-thin country roads (which essentially came down to playing one very high-risk game of chicken), and guaranteed the road trip energy (and snacks). An adventure of a lifetime to a place that can’t help but make you feel like you’re home with some of the kindest people you will ever meet. I truly hope everyone finds a Zach. A silly encyclopedia, a pensive protector, a larger-than-life kinda guy who makes you feel small when you cuddle, but big in every other way that matters. Every date feels like the first (we were told this the other day by a couple who’d guessed we’d just met—it’s been 12 years!), every hug makes you exhale. Keeps you safe, takes you gently by the waist and guides you to the inside of the sidewalk, carries all your bags and says “I was made for this” when you protest. Golden retriever energy meets Bernese mountain dog loyalty. I love him more than I know what to do with, so much that I don’t always know where to put it. So for now: Happy, happy, happy birthday, @zachvw92! ❤️ by @sar_schreiber

Still dreaming about Artists in the Orangery one month later. We started with cocktails on the rooftop of Tribeca’s @warrenstreet_hotel, moved to an atrium dressed up by @apricityevent.co, and lingered late into the night (with nightcap martinis at the bar!). We’re so grateful for our artists, colleagues that we get to call friends, and for our agency’s new chapter. Fourever! I’ve never really shared any BTS of our wedding weekend—so sandwiching some of those memories in between two of my favorite shots by the one and only @charlastorey in honor of our fourth anniversary today. Quiet sandbar strolls to start the weekend, the many, many cobblers my mom and I made for dessert, stealing upstairs after the sun set to watch our friends play in the yard, the moment I actually felt like a bride, a mirror selfie minutes after becoming a flushed and verklempt wife, driving home with my bouquet in the car cup holder, stopping for root beer along the way. Funny how these small moments feel as important as the big ones, but I suppose that’s what marriage is: a collection of the banal, made beautiful by the person you’ve chosen to make a life with.
