This moment, I will cherish forever.

I am thrilled to be announced as the winner of the Telstra Ballet Dancer Award in 2024! My heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude, I simply cannot believe it. 🫠

This award means a lot to me but I also share it with those who have been with me every step of the way. My teachers, mentors, friends, loved ones, audience members and of course my family. Those who have supported and nurtured me over the years to become the artist that I am now, and the artist I am yet to become. It takes a village and I never take it for granted. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️

To my fellow nominees, @samaramerrick @annabellewatt @ben.garrettt and @joeyromancewicz. I am constantly amazed by you guys and I have the utmost respect for you superstars.

Lastly, thank you @telstra @ausballet and @officialdavidhallberg . This award is the collective commitment of ensuring that art remains of the utmost relevance in the cultural Australian landscape.

I did a thing!

A month out, this experience is still sinking in for me. Perhaps it won’t for a while, but holy sh*t I’m proud of myself. I knew doing something like this I would be scared and well out of my comfort zone more than anyone could imagine. But from fear some wonderful personal growth can happen, that makes all the growing pains worth it.

To the dancers and staff of ABT, thank you for welcoming me so warmly. For letting me be part of your family when I was away from mine. To dance at The MET and with ABT was pretty damn cool, but more than anything I loved stepping back and watching everyone do their thing. To observe and learn, that was the best gift of all. Each and every one of you guys are rockstars and incredible artists.

Above it all, I’m feeling extremely grateful for the opportunity. Thank you @officialdavidhallberg @ausballet for allowing me this chance, my cup is full.
