We cloned ourselves 3 times and I really wanted to capture a photo of them in this present moment because they’re never going to be this small again. The night before the photoshoot, I picked out earth-toned clothing from my kids’ closets.

The next day we all dressed accordingly and got the kids to the beach, it was too sunny outside to open our eyes for the camera so we had to set up an umbrella. We began snapping photos for about a minute until my 1 year old punched my 3 year old in the face. She was bawling so we gave her a candy and told her if she smiles and takes a few more photos, we’ll take her to the carnival after. The next 10 photos had her chewing/ crying and were unusable. We then continued to shoot about 40 photos in the span of 2 minutes so that we could get just a few that were viable.

SO WORTH IT.

Then we drove to Sea Bright for the carnival and they told us the rides didn’t open until an hour later (despite what I read online,) so we had to leave but not before buying a fake Labubu for Elaine from one of the carnival vendors to cheer her up from not going on a single ride. Joe thought $20 for a tiny doll was obscene, which is actually true, but then I told him about the Labubu trend phenomenon and showed him a real one on Stock-X that looked exactly like it, marked at $200 with 400 of them sold that same day. He could not believe the stupidity. When we got home, she put it on her school backpack and was so happy.
