My blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby is a senior, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t torment him with a new photo every Sunday… so let’s begin 😂 @kdv083 #seniorsunday2026 by @sara_bbailey

This was a birthday I’ll never forget. I felt incredibly loved, from rooftop sushi and birthday lunch to dinner with all of our kids, homemade birthday cakes, sweet messages, and even the kindness of strangers. My heart is so full. Thank you to everyone who made today so special. I am deeply grateful 💗 by @sara_bbailey

Happy 20th birthday to the one who made me a mom.
You were the first person who ever managed to put me on a schedule. Those first few months were rough, until I realized you already had your own rhythm and once I learned it, everything changed.
You’ve always been steady, consistent, and strong in who you are. You don’t waver. You don’t pretend. You simply show up as yourself.
Being your mom has shaped me in the best ways. We love you, @kylerv_7 💛 by @sara_bbailey

18 years ago today, I had my first C-section… which should’ve been my first warning that this kid was always going to do things his way.

You’ve always been independent, strong, and confident in who you are. You walk your own path, but you love your people fiercely. You care deeply, and you protect the ones you love without hesitation.

You may be legally an adult now, but you’ll always be my boy. We love you, Kaleb 💙 by @sara_bbailey

Same road. Different season.
Fourteen years ago this morning I was in labor, soaking in the quiet drive to the hospital with my mom.
This morning I drove to work on that same road, but with a 14-year-old at home.
Thankful I was present then. Thankful for now.
Happy birthday, Kasen Lane 🤍 by @sara_bbailey

Not every athlete is motivated the same way.
Swapping players to “spark effort” may push some forward, but for others—especially relationship-driven kids—it can cause them to shut down.

There must be clarity on the true intent when making these moves. If the goal is motivation, the strategy has to fit the athlete.

When a coach gives one player another’s spot to “motivate” them, it doesn’t always work. Every athlete is wired differently. Some thrive on competition. Others thrive on connection. Knowing the difference can make or break motivation.

A better approach:
✅ Give clear expectations (“work on this skill, then we’ll revisit your role”).
✅ Highlight what the athlete does bring to the team.
✅ Build a culture where belonging comes first, performance second.

When athletes feel valued and secure, they’ll push themselves to grow. If you’d like links to research that supports this, message me and I’ll gladly send them 💗 by @sara_bbailey
