Ro Ro, Happy 1st Birthday! I’m so lucky to be your mommy! You are sweet, silly, mischevious and the absolute cutest. What a year it has been. Lots of challenges, lots of love, and not a lot of sleep. You have the best laugh in the world and we love it so much! You’re perfect. I’ve tried to pause time, but we are charging ahead into this next year together ❤️

You love: Screws, gears, and wheels. 🔩 Splashing in the water. Touch and feel books. Chewing on everything. Playing peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek.

You can: Wave hi and bye, clap, and high five. Do “Horray!” Cruise on furniture. Say Mama and Dada. Throw and catch a ball. Share your toys.

🌴A perfect little getaway to Turks! Ro’s first international trip was a success! May have come home more exhausted than we left, but we had so much fun with our little beach babe and celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary! Happy 6 months (+10 days), Ro!
The most surprising thing about parenthood has been that your heart is simultaneously breaking and bursting at every single moment. Breaking as they get one day, one week, one month older... outgrow a favorite outfit, have a bigger looking pinkie toe one day, no longer need you to do X for them another day. Bursting as they smile up at you, reach a hand to your face, simply give off their body heat, do something for the first time, or are the definition of peace while they sleep. It’s been the fastest 6 months of my life as much as I try to bottle every moment and hold on.
Ro, you are the sweetest, silliest little boy and we’re so lucky to be your parents! You make everything more fun (also harder). You’re a city baby through and through. You’re so darn cute people stop us on the street. Your giggle is insane. Your eyes and dimples melt hearts. We love you so much! ❤️ taken in New York, New York by @saraangle22

Happy due date! Rowan “Ro” Angle Guenin joined us on August 18 at 6lbs 4oz. He is perfect and healthy! I went through the wringer. It was a grueling 6 days and 5 nights in the hospital. I’m so grateful to the life-saving doctors, nurses, midwives, and PAs at NYU Langone, blood donors everywhere, and of course Andy, who has been amazing and had to take care of me and Ro.
