Introducing Sarabande — a modern + polished private event venue from the people behind Ovation, Greenhouse Loft, and Style Matters.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Bethany “Queen Bee” Lokken, 52, of Chicago, IL, found her peace at sunrise on July 22nd, 2026, after meeting the challenges of breast cancer with profound grace and tenacity.⁣
⁣
She is survived by her husband Spencer Lokken, daughter Elodie Lokken, mother Kaye Briscoe Park, father Joseph Briscoe, and stepfather Jack Park.⁣
⁣
After working for David Bowie in London, this magnetic graduate of the University of Central Arkansas Honors College went on to become a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines for nearly 30 years.⁣
⁣
Bethany performed as the heartbeat of DJ collective Orchard Lounge, and co-founded with Spencer The Ovation Group, a music agency and collection of private event spaces in Chicago.⁣
⁣
All of Bethany’s professional and personal endeavors were firmly rooted in one thing: cultivating joy.⁣
⁣
An exceptional mother, Bethany imbued her daughter, Elodie, with her own benevolence and compassion.⁣
⁣
We will miss her deeply and will forever be inspired by her ability to treat everyone she met with kindness.⁣
⁣
Bethany’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 25th, 2026 at Sarabande. Please visit the link in bio for her Memorial website. More information will be posted there in coming days. ⁣
⁣
In lieu of flowers, our family asks that donations be made to the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Bethany.⁣
⁣
XOXO, ⁣
⁣

Rain rain go away, we want to see the sun Monday.
⠀
This Memorial Day, we host the 19th annual Style Matters DJs Showcase at Sarabande. This is an opportunity for you to see our elite group of artists take full creative control and play whatever they feel. Come with an open mind and your smiling faces and let’s round out the holiday weekend in style.
⠀
Here’s what you need to know:
⠀
- The event is free but you must RSVP to listme@stylemattersdjs.com so we can get a rough headcount.
⠀
- DJs will start playing at noon sharp and will each get 20 minutes to shine. The line up and set times will be posted by Monday morning.
⠀
- Bring your crew, just make sure they RSVP and let us know that they’re with you.
⠀
- This is an all ages affair. The new foosball and ping pong tables will be in full effect.
⠀
- @theovationgroupchicago will host the bar until supplies last. Come early, stay as long as you’d like. Tip your friendly @paramountevents bartender.

- @urbanallureevents will be handling all the floral throughout the space. Curious to learn more? Ask for Nicole on Monday.
⠀
- @woodenpaddle will be slangin’ wood burned pizza out of their oven parked right off the patio.
⠀
- Sarabande, Ovation, and Greenhouse Loft clients are highly encouraged to attend as we’ll be showing off most of our new add on amenities (Ice Cream Cart, Ceremony Arch, Discoballs - the audio phone booth is being custom built and will be ready in early June).
⠀
- For Sarabande clients/prospects/friends, we will be giving golf cart rides down to the new riverfront ceremony area.
⠀
- Super bummed you can’t make it? Don’t worry, we got you. We’ll be streaming the entire event live to www.twitch.tv/orchardlounge. Set a reminder to tune in starting at noon. Trust us, you won’t find a better Memorial Day soundtrack anywhere.
⠀
Our team is gearing up for a monster weekend of events. When we come back up for air after all these soirées this weekend, the showcase on Monday is a rare opportunity for our crew to be together and chill. We’re looking forward to seeing you.

I’ve been spending this “preseason” updating the website portfolio and reflecting on 2024 Weddings, and will never be able to talk about last year without thinking about Cory + Toli’s day at @sarabandechicago taken in Chicago, Illinois by @sarabandechicago
