TLDR - the story of this album

I’ve wanted to produce all my music from home ever since I found out Sufjan Stevens did it and his was AWESOME (which was somewhere in the dark ages of my early 20s). Well, 2020 gave me that gift. While the world was frantically hovering to keep away from death, I was hovering in a tiny corner of my blue studio, trying to breathe life into a seed that I thought was dead. Little by little, bird by bird (Ty Anne Lamott), it happened. I’m sitting playing cello, synthesizers, and drums on QWERTY like I’m frickin Ringo. Oh man, to be a fly on my wall and witness my true nerd-dom during that time. Thanks for the support and if ya like it, send it along to your friends! 💗💗

Teamo is out today! Here is the stop motion video for your enjoyment (with an extended intro). Read below if you like stories behind the songs 😬😬 Links to listen to the songs are in my bio.

Teamo was written in 2020, inspired by these 4 things:

1. A topic suggested in a songwriting group (the rainforest) by my friend @cheyennemedders. This songwriting group started early in COVID and focused on writing songs weekly as well as producing them. Then we sent them to one another for accountability, critiques and encouragement.

2. A sample sound of an African Choir on a program that SB uses to record.

3. A really big fight SB had with her husband, the talented @nathankmusic.

4. A thought from their couples therapist - “when you fight, you forget who the other person is. Step away so you can remember who they are.”

@cheyennemedders contributed loads of extra production. @millieandjam (Darin Rajabian) with the mastering magic.
