📍 New Hampshire

We finally completed our New England fall foliage trip, exploring New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts. Four states, vast mountain views and some of the most spectacular fall scenery I’ve ever experienced. First up: New Hampshire.

The White Mountains are magnificent. From October 1–3, we explored the region’s fall foliage, taking in the views along the 35.5-mile Kancamagus Highway, through Crawford Notch State Park and Franconia Notch State Park. It’s easy to understand why New Hampshire is consistently named one of the country’s top destinations for leaf-peeping. Everywhere we looked, the mountains were ablaze with fall color. If autumn is your favorite season, New Hampshire belongs on your travel list.

The first photo is Artists Bluff in Franconia Notch State Park. Social media will tell you how insanely busy this trial gets during peak foliage. We got to the parking lot before 8 a.m. during the week and when we got to the top, it was not overly crowded. I would not recommend this trial if you’re not willing to get there early — the traffic alone is intense (we got caught in it for a detour and police were directing traffic — so many cars). That being said, it is a view worth the hike! Truly took my breath away and one of the best views for fall foliage. I mean, look at those colors!

We drove the Kanc during the week — there was a bit of traffic but not any slowdowns

This gondola was incredible. We got there in the afternoon on weekday and didn’t have to wait in line to get tickets or to get on the gondola. A bit pricey but great view of fall foliage

Don’t the sky look pretty up here? 🩵

Feeling incredibly grateful we got to see @noahkahanmusic in New York. Even though we were way up high, the view was nothing short of spectacular. During the concert, he talked about all the venues he’s played at through the city and how many were small. Each venue we’ve seen him play gets bigger and bigger, and he gets more and more comfortable on stage 🥹 and Aaron Dessner joining him for “End of August” was surreal.

What an absolute wild ride it’s been to see his fan base grow to what it is now!

Still in disbelief I got to hear “Dan” with my “Dan” 🥹

Hearing Noah Kahan and Mumford and Sons perform live together was an absolute dream come true. Orange Juice with Noah and Marcus singing together was one of my favorite moments.

I made a last minute decision to travel to Vermont to see them at the Champlain Valley Expo stop for @mumfordandsons Railroad Revival Tour. The whole concert was amazing with so many talented artists. @noahkahanmusic was the special guest, but Maggie Rogers, Chris Thile, Trombone Shorty, Ketch Secor, Celisse and many other talented musicians joined the stage throughout. Truly grateful I experienced this in person. Noah and Marcus sound great together. Life is short, buy the concert ticket 💕

Grateful for all the traveling and experiences I’ve done in my life and being surrounded by people I love. It truly has brought that shimmering light back.

Happy anniversary to the love of my life, my best friend, my favorite person, @photogharrisonlight! Life is so fun with you and I’m grateful for all our adventures with Toby. We started another year of marriage by celebrating with a trip throughout the UP in Michigan! We had talked about doing a trip like this for years and I’m so glad we did. This was the perfect year to do this trip — right after celebrating our friends getting married on the Leelanau Peninsula, not far from our venue 🥰

Highlights:

-Seeing Lake of the Clouds in Porcupine Mountain State Park. The view took my breath away.
-Seeing the famous Miners Castle in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore at sunset. It was spectacular.
-Going to kitch-iti-kipi: it’s always beautiful. The emerald water is just so hard to believe!
-Day trip to Mackinac Island: Toby had a blast being carted around behind a bike!
-Sugarloaf Mountain Overlook: I look back at this and laugh because it’s truly not advertised to be a hike. It’s a short hike, but there are a LOT of stairs lol. Toby handled it so well!

Not in the UP, but sunset at Pierce Stocking Drive in Sleeping Bear Dunes will always be my favorite 🩵 and the view at Empire Bluff is gorgeous!

If you’re on the fence about exploring the upper peninsula, let this be a sign that the drive is absolutely worth it!! Cheers to another year with my love 🥂 taken in Michigan, USA by @sarah__light

2025 has definitely been the year of stepping out of my comfort zone. In August, I took a last-minute solo trip to Vermont to see Mumford & Sons on their Railroad Revival Tour — with Noah Kahan as the special guest. I can’t put into words how incredible it was to see two of my favorite artists share the stage. I also got to meet fellow Agora member @ameliahrapeck and enjoyed the show with her — hoping for more concert meetups in the future! So grateful for music, new experiences, and my husband who encouraged me to go 🥹

Performance highlights:
-Mumford & Sons joined Noah Kahan for Orange Juice, Maine, Stick Season, Paul Revere and Young Blood (Marcus Mumford sounded amazing on Paul Revere)
-Noah Kahan joined Mumford & Sons for I Will Wait and Awake My Soul (Maggie Rogers & Railroad Revival crew also came out!)
-Noah shared that he sang I Will Wait for a talent show and that this concert was a full circle moment 🥹
-Entire Railroad Revival crew included talented artists such as Ketch Secor, Trombone Shorty, Chris Thile, Brittany Howard and many more
-Marcus Mumford’s amazing cover of Man! I Feel Like A Woman
-Ending the concert with The Beatles 🥰

Other Vermont stops:
-Took a little trip out to Stowe (which I LOVED)
-Ben & Jerry’s ice cream right in downtown Burlington. Will have to go to the flavor graveyard next time!
-Stopped by Movement Roasters which has amazing coffee
-Took a quick drive up Mountain Road in Stowe. Can’t wait to explore more

📍Denver —> Rocky Mountain National Park —> Red Rocks —> Estes Park —> Leadville

Red Rocks has been on my bucket list for concert venues for years — Mumford & Sons was a pairing I never thought I’d be lucky enough to experience. It was truly incredible.

This ended up being a fantastic little getaway overall. Some highlights:
-A train ride in Leadville: The views were amazing and we decided very last minute to do this but I highly recommended. The drive from Denver to Leadville is something Harry and I cannot stop talking about.
-Getting to hear Ghosts That We Knew live: this is one of my all-time favorite songs and hearing it live for the first time at Red Rocks changed me
-Rocky Mountain National Park: there’s a reason this is one of the most visited National Parks! The views are breathtaking. I recommend doing Bear Lake Trail — the main viewpoint (first photo) is truly not a difficult hike.
-Seeing so many elk: We saw a huge herd in Rocky Mountain National Parks, but we also saw two mothers and their calves right in Estes Park. We made sure to admire from a distance, I imagine they like to be in this area because people scare off predators.
-Hearing Marcus sing Cowboy Like Me: I love this Taylor Swift song and I would loveeee for a “ft. More Marcus” version. Marcus sang this on his solo tour too, but it was great to hear just Marcus with some subtle vocals from Ben and Ted.

Hope to make it back to Colorado in the near future to explore the west side of the state. We loved driving around the Denver area, but I know there’s much more to see!

📍 Shenandoah National Park, Prince William Forest Park, Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park, Blue Ridge Tunnel

Shennendoah National Park is stunning! This trip was all about the dogs (we were escaping fireworks) and it made it all the more special! Toby (my corgi) and George (my sister’s dog) became BARK rangers at Prince William Forest, Shenandoah and Fredericksburg. @princewilliamforestpark swore them in and it was such a memorable experience. Highly recommended looking for BARK ranger sites — not only for the cute badges but to actually remember to be a responsible pet owner to keep these places beautiful!

We also stopped by Blue Ridge Tunnel —a historic railroad tunnel built in the 1850s. It was unique to see in person. Sunset photos were taken in Shenandoah.

📍Luray, Va.

This town was the perfect place for a little getaway. We stayed in a quirky, dog-friendly cabin that had incredible mountain views. Toby especially loved the porch, it was just like home!

Some highlights (outside of the cabin!):
-Luray Caverns: It was pretty cool to see, it’s a bit touristy but it’s impressive.
-Downtown Luray: this place was so cute. I do wish we explored more (we spent a lot of time in Shenandoah) so might have to come back!
-Not pictured: Coffee from Broad Porch Cafe — a must-stop if you’re in town. It was so good!

D.C. in full bloom 🌸 cherry blossoms, great friends, and a corgi living his best life.

Finally posting a few favorites from our March trip — peak cherry blossom blooms, sunshine, a corgi in full tourist mode, spending the weekend with two of the best, Kristina & Eric — and celebrating Kristina’s birthday!

Not pictured: some truly top-tiered food and coffee. Safe to say it was the perfect little getaway.

I am so happy we got these pictures taken in our favorite place 💕

A few months late, but @wildlyyoursphoto did a phenomenal job capturing our little family. It was a bitter cold December day, but Sarah helped us forget about the weather and made our time together truly memorable. And worked around the weather so we didn’t all get stuck out at Sleeping Bear Point 😅 Hope we can get more photos with her in a different season in TC someday 😊
