10th Birthday . . . the last birthday celebrated with Jack. 🧡 His cake was cheese-themed, of course. 🧀

Happy 25th Birthday to my Amazing Annie! She came unexpectedly early into the world weighing in at 3 lb 3 oz full of enthusiasm, strength, courage, and heart.

Last year, we celebrated her birthday in Paris! Since then, she’s completed her first marathon, her first triathlon, traveled by foot, car, and plane from Hartland to Philly, Sedona, Fairbanks, and Tampa to celebrate, remember, honor, and simply live with the sparkle of the Eiffel Tower and the determination of a champion. So proud of you, Annie!

Care enough that someday, somewhere, something is different because you were here.

We don’t get to choose how much time we’re given.
But we do get to choose what we do with it.

Sasha died from cancer,
But.
She is still changing rooms she never entered.

On walls. On signs.
In conversations about cures.
In rooms filled with people who refuse to accept that the next child has to share her fate.

Thank you, @beatchildhoodcancer @sarahbartosz , for helping her remind people that this fight is far from over.

None of us gets to decide how long we are here.

But while we are here, we do get to decide what we move.
What we question.
What we build.
What we refuse to accept.
Who we fight for.
What becomes different because we existed.

Sasha was just a little girl.
She didn’t have decades to build a legacy.

And yet her name is now woven into a movement fighting for a future she never got to have.

So maybe a meaningful life isn’t measured in years.
Maybe it’s measured in what keeps moving after we are gone.

There are diseases waiting for cures.
People waiting for someone to care.
Problems everyone has learned to live with.
Things in this world that are still broken because too many of us assume someone else will fix them.

Pick something.

We all leave eventually.
The question is what refuses to leave with us.

Sasha picked to fight for a cure.
And we are just getting started. 🎗️

Jack, you were and are the most beautiful glitter in this world. And thank goodness you will never be brushed away. You will never be gone because the love will always remain. ✨

14 years of missing you when your victory was found in Heaven on this day. What I wouldn’t give for one more smile, one more hug, one more chance to hold you. Happy Father’s Day to the best of the best! John and Andy were more than just father and son-in-law . . . they loved each other like father and son.

My own father grew up without his dad so to see him embrace John, travel with Jack, and now step in to be there for Annie and Tommy has been the greatest gift he could possibly give.

28 years ago two joyful hearts were married on the golden shore of Little Star Lake. The gift for guests . . . custom ‘roomerangs’ courtesy of my parent’s toy store.

No matter what happened in our years together, I always believed things would come back around and be ok. And you know what, I still believe. It may not look the way I dreamed, hoped, or prayed for, but what we put into the world comes back to us.

I have been blessed with a loving husband and 3 beautiful, amazing kids. Thank you, John. We may have only celebrated 17 anniversaries, but I know you are looking out for all of us and guiding us to many more moments of love and joy.
