Oh, old man, we’re so sorry. You were so loved. A part of me wonders if you knew your time was coming.
Your favorite thing to do in life was run. You’d get out any chance you could get, and you’d just run and run. In your old age, you slowly stopped doing that, partially because it was harder for you to make a break for it, and partially because you didn’t want to as much anymore. But your last night on earth, you ran.
You did what you loved most in life.
Despite your sore limbs, your tired body, you made a break for it once again, and you ran and ran.
And you ran somewhere your limbs will never be sore and your body will never grow tired. We miss you so much already, old man.
I hope Chloe isn’t annoying you too much on the other side, and you’re running as much as you want and getting all the bum scratches you can get. Buddyboy will show you the way. by @sarahbeth.comm

Hey, friends! This handsome old man is looking for his perfect forever home. He was rescued by a very kind soul, who couldn’t keep him, and he was facing going back out to the streets. So she did everything she could to find a safe place for him, and he landed with me. He wouldn’t have made it through the winter. He was malnourished, and most of his teeth were rotten making it very painful for him to eat. And he’s FIV+. He’s received 2 dentals, all of his teeth have been removed save for 3 canines, which made his derpy little tongue even more prominent (one of my favorite little things about him 🥰).
Due to his FIV status, it’d be best for him to go to a home with no other cats, or a home with other FIV+ kitties. He’s perfect with dogs, it’s like he hardly even notices they’re there. And he is such a love-bug (though isn’t a fan of being picked up and held). He’s got the cutest little meow, and won’t hesitate to use it when he’s hungry. If you or anyone you know is interested, PLEASE reach out!! by @sarahbeth.comm

So thankful I had the opportunity to attend GVMA with some of the best girls I’ve worked with, and meet some amazing people that are helping to educate, promote, and improve the world of vet med (and Hamish was a bonus, of course 🥰) by @sarahbeth.comm

On the topic of fawns, if you ever get the chance, @fawndoerosa in Wisconsin is SO worth the trip. The work they do and the way they advocate for these animals is amazing. The deer are free to wander out and about, and interact with the guests if they choose to. But you’ll also get the chance to see porcupine, bobtail, lynx, wolf, badger (Jake’s personal favorite), fox, and so much more.
Bonus, it’s family run, and it’s beautiful to see multiple generations share a passion for these animals, even down to the youngest toddler. ❤️

DISCLAIMER: The photos posted only show limited sections of their enclosures that they just happened to be in at the time, as many were resting due to the time of day. The enclosures themselves are quite large (there were some animals we didn’t get to see because they tucked themselves away within a large area), and these animals get plenty of enrichment. So much happens behind the scenes for their well-being. Just wanted to put it out there.

Little darling, you had no clue, and you never will, but in the few hours that you were discovered, and before you made your way along, you were watched over. May nature AND mankind treat you well. We’ll be keeping our eye out for you. Welcome to this strange, scary, beautiful world ❤️ by @sarahbeth.comm

Who says “vacation” had to mean a break from animals 😂
Swipe for a charging hoard of animals, goats on the roof, a barn cat that we discovered wasn’t really their barn cat, and a couple of calves feeling silly in the rain 🥰 by @sarahbeth.comm
