things my heart froze: I might make that a series lol

I bought freezer cubes and I am so astonished at freezing my own food right now. I have been batch cooking random items each week like I’m collecting rings in a video game but it’s frozen cubes 😂 idk.. it’s kinda fun.

Yes, I still make fresh meals and I still eat out, but this is for the days you don’t want to cook, you don’t want to eat out, and you need 10 mins to get your life together. Bad decisions come from impulse and survival mode. I am just trying to keep myself prepared and afloat.

Some of you wanted to know what’s in my freezer. Grains, pastas, meats, and miscellaneous stuff from my pantry. I’m on a freeze tour until further notice. Check out what my heart froze so far. Love you ❤️ by @sarahhanem

We visited Ibn Tulun Mosque. I have been before about 8 years ago, but it was still a remarkable visit. Me & my sister prayed Dhur prayer there and it was so quiet and peaceful.

Ibn Tulun Mosque is located on the small hill of Gebel Yashkur in the Sayeda Zeinab neighbourhood —between the Citadel of Saladin and the banks of the Nile— the Ibn Tulun Mosque is one of oldest, most preserved mosques in Africa and one of the most iconic monuments in the heart of Islamic Cairo.

Next we visited Gayer-Anderson Museum, also known as Bayt al-Kritliyya, which is adjacent to the mosque. The museum is noted for being one of the examples of 17th-century domestic architecture left in Cairo, known for its collection of art, furniture, carpets, Egyptian collectibles. It is 100 degree weather here, so we enjoyed an authentic, fresh Egyptian lime juice to cool down at the museum & headed on our way.

We were looking to have lunch after, so our tuk-tuk driver insisted we go to a legendary street eatery known for its Egyptian baladi breakfast named “Gahsh” (aka the mule). It was soooooo good. You will not find ta3maya (falafel) like that anywhere. It was off the chain. 10/10. #egypt #masr #cairo taken in El-Sayeda Zeinab by @sarahhanem
