if i had one word to describe this day, it would be gratitude.

i competed for @americandancepro on behalf of @dwmmidtown in the rhythm category. after a 5 yr break from dancing, this past year+ has been so rewarding. looking back, i don’t think teenage me, let alone little me would have ever predicted that iconic dancers/instructors etc would be watching and judging her in a ballroom dance competition! this was such an incredible experience and im reliving it in my head over and over.

thank you to @miljannojic for absolutely everything! i quite literally wouldn’t have been able to do this without you. you have always instilled confidence in me and see things i never saw before in myself. learning from you has been nothing short of excellent and i feel blessed to be dancing with you! thank you for sharing your talent & passion with me and everyone else 🥹.

yes, receiving awards was fun, BUT, i feel like i won just stepping on the ballroom floor. the adrenaline kicked in and i just went for it. hearing such positive feedback from icons is very surreal, but truly feels like its own trophy.
