Today marks a very special day: our first indoor performance of The Vessel with @setagayapt.dance at Setagaya Egret Hall. It's an honour to present our show in this beautiful venue and to meet the Japanese audience for the first time. We're also celebrating some incredibly good news: our company has received operational support from @kulturradet.se! Grateful, excited and pumped for tonight and for the future ✨ by @sarahl00p
Open call: RAGE is a nomadic project taking the form of an act based, cabaret-style evening created in-situ by Collective Rage and the participating artists. Led by Stockholm-based circus artists Aino Ihanainen, Mirja Jauhiainen and Sarah Lett, this project is in a state of constant, rapid change, mirroring the world itself. At its core, RAGE offers a space for expression, where anger is not silenced, grief is not hidden, and hope is treated as a muscle to be trained through engagement. OBS: Paid opportunity. Artists with strong ties to the city are also welcome to apply knowing that there is no budget for transport and accommodation. What we are looking for: An act of max 7min around the themes of rage and grief. It can be a pre-existing piece or made for the occasion, experimentation is warmly welcome. Possible attendance in other acts and group scenes as well. Who can apply: Circus artists, movers, makers and activists based in and around Stockholm. Priority will be given to artists from underrepresented and marginalized communities. Where: Subtopia, Botkyrka (Loftet) When: Rehearsals: 15.-17. February (no need to be present at all time) Shows: 17th and 20th February + 1-2 preparation meetings (possibly online) How to apply: Send us an email to ragegriefhope@protonmail.com with the subject Rage Stockholm with the following: 👉 A short text about why you would like to take part in this project, what you’d like to rage on/express on stage and in what format (art form, discipline..) 👉Your cv 👉Link to video material/pictures (if possible) Deadline: October 20th We will notify everyone about the decisions by the end of October. by @sarahl00p

✨Introducing Grapes & Glory! ✨ A fine-dining catastrophe for kids and teens. A carefully laid table, succulent grapes, four sensible women, and a well-behaved rat... What could possibly go wrong? 🐀🍇 Certified ★★★★★ “The show was full of madness and I loved it.” — Kid reviewer Grapes & Glory was conceived and created by Sarah Lett, Imogen Huzel, Lisa Angberg, and Nelli Kujansivu as their first collective project. It’s finally happening! 🎉 Two years ago, with support from @swedish_arts_grants_committee , we pitched The Vessel at @le_micc . Thanks to this opportunity and their continued support, we’re now thrilled to present the show in Canada — with upcoming performances in Montreal and Edmonton! We kick things off tomorrow — Friday the 13th! 🎃— with a fully booked show at La Maison de la Culture Mercier in Montreal @maisonsculture Next stop: @albertacircusarts on June 20 at @lacitefrancoyeg in Edmonton. We can’t wait! Huge thanks to Konstnärsnämnden for supporting this cultural exchange and making this journey possible as well as to the Swedish embassy in Ottawa for their recent support! 🧭 As June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, we want to take this occasion to respectfully acknowledge the lands we will visit and perform on: 🌿 In Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, we recognize that we gather on unceded Indigenous territory, traditionally cared for by the Kanien'kehá:ka Nation, stewards of these lands and waters. This area has long been a gathering place for many First Nations. 🌾 In Amiskwacîwâskahikan/Edmonton, we honour the traditional territories of many Indigenous Peoples, including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Dene, Saulteaux, Anishinaabe, Inuit, and others whose histories, cultures, and languages continue to shape these lands. . . . . . . . . . . #Thevessel #lavaisseau #montreal #edmonton #maisonculturemercier #citefrancophone #cyrwheel #juggling #slackrope #thevesselcircus by @sarahl00p
❤️‍🔥Rage Cabaret @punkshangaren March 8th, doors at 18, show at 19❤️‍🔥 A soirée with a mix of performances and activities. Does reading the news make you also angry? Let’s be furious together and use the anger as a tool for hope. Come watch and take part too if you wish! We are living in dark times where greed and hate seem to be the dominating forces, pushing us away from each other. We are facing the loss of lives and dreams, loss of our beautiful nature, loss of human rights and valuation of art. Even losing hope at times. And it makes us angry. We’d like this cabaret to be a safe space to express, embrace and share all these feelings, a place to let out all the anger, frustration and sadness. It’s time to shake and shatter, have a blast and make a mess. Be a mess! And from the bits and pieces we can build bridges and make something beautiful together. Anger is one stage of grief and feeling it essentially means that we care. It comes from a place of love and is worth cherishing. Let’s spend a fun evening together and bring some light in the dark. The stage and platform is reserved for women, non-binary and queer people, but we warmly welcome everyone to join the evening. We’ll do this together.x Without community, there is no liberation. -Audre Lorde- by @sarahl00p
