Halfway through my Foundation (CIC) Mandarin Online Class.

This class has been such a fun experience so far, especially getting to meet a new Laoshi, Teo Laoshi. She’s fun, easy to communicate with, and really good at engaging everyone throughout the class.

One thing I really enjoyed is how she encourages us to ask questions whenever we have them. It makes the class feel much more comfortable, especially when learning something new.

I’m also happy to have met so many new friends along the way. We come from different ages and backgrounds, but somehow we still manage to communicate, laugh, and learn together, even though it’s all happening virtually.

I was kinda nervous at first, but as the class went on, I slowly got more comfortable and started enjoying the whole experience more. 😆 taken in Kunkwan by @sarahmandarinclass

Starting my Mandarin journey has been a genuinely enjoyable experience. Laoshi was very friendly and sporting throughout the session, which made the class feel comfortable from the beginning. The teaching style was also quite engaging, instead of simply listening and taking notes, we had plenty of opportunities to practice speaking and interact throughout the session.

Another thing I appreciated was meeting people from different age groups and different parts of Malaysia. Everyone came with their own reasons for learning Mandarin, and it was interesting to see how learning a new language can bring people from very different backgrounds together.

After attending my first class, I realised that Mandarin is actually much more approachable when you have the right environment and guidance. You don’t necessarily have to be good at it from the start, you just need to be willing to learn and practise.

For those who have been thinking about learning Mandarin, I’m currently opening 20 slots for a FREE 2 hours online Mandarin class.

If you’re interested in joining, feel free to DM me or WhatsApp me at +60166673745 and I’ll share the details with you.

Learning needs to be clear, kind, and repeatable. ❤️

It’s okay to miss a few lessons. The most important thing is to always come back.

You don’t need a big plan to learn. Sometimes, a big plan creates pressure; a small plan creates action.

So, come back, show up, and keep learning. 💪

Tuan KJ’s weekly Mandarin class: DONE! ✅

Some students get busy for a few weeks. They skip a few classes… then stop learning altogether.

Then they tell themselves:
“I’m too busy.”
“I’m not disciplined enough.”
“Maybe Mandarin just isn’t my thing.”

But strong people don’t attack themselves because they missed a few lessons.

They simply come back.
They show up again.
They continue where they left off.

Success isn’t about never stopping. It’s about never quitting.

As we say in Malay,
“Orang berjaya menghabiskan apa yang mereka mulakan.”

Thank you, Tuan KJ, for being such a great role model. 🇲🇾❤️
