seeing red

With a cloudy summer and rainy start to fall, we haven’t seen much of the stars in awhile. Tonight, I just felt like revisiting some Milky Way images from clear (or at least clear-ish) nights earlier this year.

monsoon skies ⚡️

After a week of (glorious) monsoon rains - coupled with other commitments keeping me indoors and/or close to home in the evenings - it was great to get out and put a lens on a storm last night.

I would’ve been happy with a great sunset, which I also got(!) and will share soon… but needless to say, I’m not unhappy with these in the least. 😍 ⛈️

Since cloudy nights have rendered astrophotography …well, difficult… this summer, I’ve opted to spend some daylight experimenting with different film stocks.

Today’s film? @lomography Lomochrome Purple… a fun venture in wild color differences, including some overcast turquoise skies 😏
