It’s been one month since I said goodbye to my soul dog. A month of trying to redefine my daily life without this precious angel by my side. I miss our walks. I miss your soulful eyes, even when you were rolling them at me. I miss your excitement every time friends or family would come to visit. Yours was a love and a loss unlike any I’ve ever felt before. 💔 I don’t know how to do this without you baby girl, but I’m trying my best. by @sarahnilson

2026 has been a little chaotic, but also filled with some incredible adventures that never made it to the grid. In July I made my first trip to the West Coast, solo exploring Olympic National Park, wandering through enchanted rainforests, and living out my best hoa hoa hoa life in the PNW. A little reminder of how lucky I am to see new places, get lost in nature, and find a little magic along the way. 🌲✨

Bella loca where have you been?!

✨ a poem by me✨

Cold water touches my toes on smooth rocks where my mind tells me sand should be

Giant rock formations slice the unfamiliar coastline, cutting apart my perception of ‘the beach’

I’ve met moss-covered giants on my way to your shores.

Hello Pacific. It’s nice to finally meet you.

I stacked these 🙆🏼‍♀️

Went to my favorite @ncartmuseum event last weekend— Art In Bloom.

This year’s theme was ✨Written in the Stars ✨ and the arrangements were incredible! “In 2026 Art in Bloom takes inspiration from the twelve signs of the zodiac to embrace how whimsy connects to creativity.“

It was so fun seeing how the designers interpreted the zodiac signs for their installations.

This event was exactly what I needed after what had been a tough week (someone ran a stop sign and totaled my car 😭💔) by @sarahnilson

It feels like everyone could use a little more whimsy on their feeds, sooo enjoy some lake walk pics and a poem I wrote ✨🍄🧚🪾🌿

Lush forest floors filled with moss.
Mushroom cap fairy homes among the decaying leaves.
Dew covered blades of grass.
Worn stones peeking up from the bottom of a winding creek, whispering stories to the trees.

A magical microcosm. A marvel.

Here’s hoping 2026 is full of more adventures. by @sarahnilson

📍 Stop 5: Cologne (Köln) Germany 🇩🇪

I love this city. It was truly the embodiment of Christmas Magic. So many beautiful markets, set against such a rich historical and architecturally beautiful backdrop.

Kölner Dom (the Cologne Cathedral) was breathtaking. I definitely underestimating how hard the climb to the top would be 😅 but the view was more than worth it. The history inside this building is profound.

Everyone I met was so kind and the festivities and Christmas markets had me feeling like I stepped right into a fairytale.

Seeing so many of Picasso‘s works in person was another highlight of the trip.

I can’t wait to explore more of this country one day - but it was for sure a perfect last stop of my Christmas Market tour. 🎄👼🏼✨ by @sarahnilson

This is 33 ✨🪩🥂

Grateful for another trip around the sun filled with kind and caring people, beautiful new places, live music, good books, pretty clouds, and strong coffee.

Excited to see what 33 will bring ☺️
