Spring long weekend recharge aesthetic 🌼🍄🍃

📸 1: my favourite tree on one of my walking routes.
📸 2: attempting to paint again. I’m not great at it still, but I love how painting feels a little more freeing for me vs sketching or colouring. If I make a mistake painting, I can just paint over it.
📸 3: the paintings in question. Shout out to dreamanddraw.school on TikTok for these great tutorials.
📸 4: a long weekend isn’t complete without a delicious brekky.
📸 5: D&D session aka me traumatising my players as the worlds’ most manipulative kobald.
📸 6: bonus cet.

Happy Aussie August!

I just HAD to spotlight the stunning Of Venom and Vengeance by Mikayla Bridge. I’m honestly so obsessed with the covers of both of Mikayla’s books - they photograph SO beautifully 😍😍

That moment you FINALLY find the book you’ve been hunting down for MONTHS! 🎉📚

I always seem to love book 2 the most in a series I find, and I have no idea why. I do the same with movies or tv shows - that sweet middle spot before everything ends 😅 Anyone else relate to this?

Happy book birthday to the absolutely stunning ‘Theodora’s Tea Shop’ aka Project Tea Cup (iykyk 😉) by Christy Anne Jones.

As a longtime subscriber of Christy’s fabulous YouTube channel, of course I had to rush out on release day to pick up this beautiful book.

Having watched through all the drafting vlogs and cheering with joy for her in the video when she revealed she’d landed an agent, I’ve genuinely never been so happy to see a book on a shelf in a store.

I cannot wait to dive into the world of Dot, Theodora and the secret magic that lies behind her seemingly normal tea shop 🫖✨

There’s no greater feeling for me than finding a new series to fall in love with ❤️📚

I had a feeling I would like the Captive Prince trilogy after having enjoyed C.S. Pacat’s later work, but I was honestly so blown away! First time in a long time I raced out after finishing book 1 to get the following books. Cannot WAIT to get into books 2 and 3 🥰

A massive congratulations to @keshewrites for the release of her adult romantasy debut Strange Familiars last week! 📚🐈

So devastated that I was unable to make the launch event but I did my due diligence and ensured to grab it on release day while I was away in Sydney so I was there in spirit! 💙

There is nothing more satisfying than owning a complete matching set! 📚💖

Pro tip: if you start a series and love it, don’t wait 8 years to complete your collection because there’s a high chance the editions you started buying will go out of print!

Huge shout out to @amplifybookstore for coming in clutch with this edition of A Sky Beyond the Storm, the final book in the series. I genuinely thought I would have to get the new edition and I was devastated - I mean LOOK how gorgeous they all look together! 😭💚
