This was so good!!!! We used the @testkitchen recipe for NYC thin style crust and then brushed with roasted garlic and evoo, topped with caramelized onions, shiitake, and baby bellas. Added our cheeses. After baking in the pizza oven we topped it with a roasted garlic aioli, chives, and brushed the crust with melted butter mixture with Parmesan, onion + garlic powder, and some salt/pepper. #pizza #pizzatime #homecooking #homebaker #homemade taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @sarahsquats52

Spooky season is coming so I’m in a real meat n potatoes kinda mood. Followed this tasty instant pot short ribs recipe from @holmescooking_ though i went with only one hour instead of 1.5 and i think that gave me the result i wanted. Delicious. Used up the last of my homemade beef stock. Paired this with buttermilk and boursin whipped mashed potatoes + honey lemon and thyme glazed carrots (recipe from @testkitchen and it’s one of my favorite ways to eat carrots)

One step closer to achieving banana bread nirvana. I am making one modification at a time until it cannot possibly get better. Last time I tried adding homemade toffee (big win) and this time we added on by changing the banana. i borrowed some technique from a @testkitchen recipe that calls for cooking the bananas in the microwave and then straining out the banana juice, which you then cook down into a syrup. Big yes!! This does call for more banana than the original recipe I’ve been going off of (credit to @sarah_kieffer because her banana bread recipe is THE BEST and that’s what I’ve been using to make modifications to) so I’ve needed to adjust the cooking time. MAYBE will try adding more dry ingredients, TBD…. It’s definitely a lot more moist which…isn’t a bad thing as that’s kind of how i prefer my banana bread anyway. I don’t want it if it doesn’t require a plate and fork!
