07/01/1950 - 09/26/2025 Early this morning at 2:30 AM, my dad’s long and difficult journey came to an end.
He spent the past few years fighting Alzheimer’s disease, and the last three months in the ICU. I watched him face every step of it with more strength than I could ever imagine.

Dad, I cry for the life you lived and for the moments this illness took away from you. I cry for the memories we didn’t get to make. But I’m grateful that you are finally at peace, free from the pain and confusion that held you for so long.

Please remember me in heaven, Dad. Keep writing your poems there, and I will see you again one day, my love.

As long as I carry this grief, I will bear it, because it means you were here and that you mattered.

Thank you for your love, for your gentleness, for everything you taught me. I will carry you with me for the rest of my life.

Rest easy now, Dad. I love you forever. 🕊️🤍

‎إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون … إلى رحمة الرحمن الرحيم (أبي … عباس حسين جسام)

‎اليوم الفجر، الساعة ٢:٤٠ صباحاً، انتهت رحلة تعب والدي الطويلة.
‎قاتل السنين الأخيرة مع مرض الزهايمر، وآخر ثلاثة أشهر قضاها في العناية المركزة. شفت قوته وصبره بكل لحظة رغم الألم.

‎أبي… أبچي على حياتك اللي عشتها، وعلى اللحظات اللي المرض حرمك منها. أبچي على الذكريات اللي ما قدرنا نعيشها سوا. بس الحمد لله إنك ذهبت بسلام وارتحت من التعب والوجع.

‎أذكرني بالجنة يا أبي، واكتب أشعارك هناك، وأشوفك قريب إن شاء الله يا روحي.

‎كل ما أحس بالحزن أعرف إنه دليل إنك كنت هنا وإنك تركت أثر كبير بحياتي.

‎شكرًا على حبك وحنانك وكل شي علمتني إياه. رح تبقى بقلبي طول العمر.
