Summer, through his eyes ❤️ by @saranibz
Who says adventure has to wait for the weekend? ⛰️ Before most people had their first coffee, we’d biked to the trailhead, ran to the alpine, soaked in the mountain air, and I made it home in time to get my kiddo to skate camp for 9am. And there’s something about having other mom friends who are willing to set the 5am alarm with you that makes getting out the door that much easier. 💛 🙏 @julie_raisingwild Motherhood didn’t end the adventures—it just taught us to get creative with when we fit them in. How do you squeeze adventure into your life? by @saranibz
💥 We’re bringing the community together for another Moms + Friends Social Ride + Après at the Mons Royale Whistler shop! 🚵 We’ll head out for a fun ride on the Blackcomb trails (with intermediate and advanced groups), then come back to hang out over wood-fired pizza, gelato, drinks, exclusive shopping deals and prizes. Come with a friend or show up solo—it’s all about meeting other women who love riding bikes and spending time outside. 🍕 We’ll provide the dough and sauce—just bring your favourite pizza topping to share! (We’ll have a cooler if it needs to stay cold.) Meet 5:30pm the Mons Royale store in the village. 🚵‍♀️Trail preview: Intermediates: Baby train/ Roam in the loam Advanced: Microclimate 🎁 Thanks to our amazing partners: @monsroyale @mountainmomstrong @chromagbikes @scandinavespa @ridewrap @smithoptics @whistlerluciagelato @drinktaper @fswhistler by @saranibz
If I didn’t have this crew to ride with, the thought to cancel probably would’ve crossed my mind. It was pouring rain. Foggy. Wet. But 10 moms showed up anyway. Because when you’ve made a plan, you know people are counting on you, and you have a crew to ride with, it’s a lot easier to get out the door. And once we were out there? The dirt was SO good. 🙌 As moms, our time to ride is limited. We can’t always wait for perfect weather, perfect conditions, or the perfect day. Sometimes you just need a plan and people who make you want to show up. That’s what I love about this community. 🤍 Moms Who e-Ride ⚡️ by @saranibz
Two weeks ago I lined up for the @the_loam_hustler enduro and honestly, it was such a fun day on the bike with friends. Leading up to the race, I spent a lot of time on my e-bike riding the course, scoping lines, and simply getting more time on my bikes with friends. For me, riding is a chance to forget about work, parenting, and the endless to-do list. It’s time to be present, spend time with friends, enjoy nature, and challenge myself. May was busy with work, family trips, a trail running race, and this enduro, time was tight so my training was simple: ✅ 20-minute strength workouts 2x/week ✅ 10 minutes of mobility daily (thanks to the May Mobility Challenge!) ✅ 1 run/week ✅ 2 rides/week I showed up feeling strong and ready to ride. Race day wasn’t perfect. I made a few mistakes and seemed to be a magnet for trees. 😅 But I kept pushing, kept having fun, and somehow ended up in 2nd place. 🥈 A good reminder that you don’t need a perfect training block or perfect race to achieve something you’re proud of. Consistency, strength, and resilience go a long way. And honestly, that’s exactly why I built Mountain Mom Strong. Most moms don’t have hours to train. We need simple, effective training that fits into real life and helps us stay strong for the adventures we love. Not random workouts, well planned movement that hits all the movement patterns and slings. If you’ve been wondering whether a few short workouts each week can actually make a difference, this is your reminder that they can. Happy International Women’s Day to the women raising the next generation outside. The moms hauling snacks, skis, bikes, and backpacks up mountains. Teaching their kids that strong bodies and wild places go together. Showing their daughters what strength looks like… and their sons what strong women look like. Taking care of themselves so they can keep showing up. Lifting each other up and showing up when it matters. Here’s to the mountain moms, the adventurers, the rebuilders, and the quiet badasses. Tag a woman who inspires you!! 💥 #internationalwomensday #mountainmomstrong #adventuremoms #radmoms by @saranibz
I’m training to keep up on the hikes, the powder days, and the little legs that somehow never get tired. These days my motivation is simple: keep up or get left in the dust. Do your kids ever get tired? 😅 We did this hike and shred two days in a row with our 6yr old— and those little legs aren’t tired… until we hit the parking lot and have to walk 100m to the car! 🤣 What’s your motivation to train? 💪 #mountainmomstrong #mountainmom #strongmoms #momswhoride #adventuremoms by @saranibz
6 years ago, people told me I’d have to give this up…
“Enjoy your last few adventures…” is what they’d say. Turns out, motherhood didn’t stop me from doing what I love, it just gave me a little adventure buddy 🏔️💛 And along the way, I found a rad community of moms to explore with and challenge ourselves alongside. Motherhood might slow you down a little, but it won’t stop you from doing what you love 🌿✨ #MotherhoodAndAdventure #PostpartumStrength #MomLife #HikingWithKids #AdventureMoms by @saranibz
POV: Cashing in on all the days spent in the magic carpet. First Family Pow Day all on boards. Six years in the making… Years of magic carpets, slow laps, and tantrums 🏔️ Skis came first—to build a solid foundation on snow. We dabbled in snowboarding (it’s way harder when they’re little), and now? It’s all snowboarding—and he’s shredding with confidence 🏂 Still on the carpet? Keep going. You won’t be there forever 💪 Foundations matter— just like in Mountain Mom Strong, they set you up for long-term success #mountainmomstrong #strongmoms #mountainmom #radmoms #momswhoride by @saranibz
We think our kids are lucky to grow up here… but really, we’re the lucky ones. 🌲❤️ Raising them outside, slowing down, playing, chasing our passions—and growing alongside them every step of the way. 🏔️Grateful to parent and live on the traditional, unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Lil̓wat Nations. 💕Tag a mountain mom you feel lucky to raise kids alongside—or a mountain mom who inspires you. #MountainMomLife #GratefulParenting #AdventureTogether #mountainmomstrong by @saranibz
Is your perception of time warped after having kids? Mine sure is… We set out for a pre-season mission. First one in 6 years since having a kid — and it filled the tank.
It reminded me that you don’t need a big, epic day to fill your soul.
The smaller missions — the quick hits — can be just as satisfying.
And when you get out on your own, it’s smooth, simple, and way quicker than your brain remembers. Feels good to reset that part of my brain. This day was all about reminding ourselves we can still do it — and it doesn’t have to take all day. 💯 worth it. Being in shape helps you cover more ground — join the Mountain Mom Strong Fitness Collective to make the most of your time and be ready for any adventure that comes your way. #mountainmomstrong #strongmoms #mountainmom #postpartumfitness #radmoms #momswhoride #adventuremoms #momlife #splitboarding #fitmoms by @saranibz
