In case anyone forgot — I’m a certified body-oriented therapist (including body-motion, relaxation and tension release, and hypno-based work).

And the truth is, most of the time I don’t have the opportunity or capacity
to have a three-hour emotional breakdown or completely drop out of life for the day.

So I process my emotions differently.
Through my body.
Through movement, body-motion, physical activity, tears, or even anger — directed safely at inanimate objects.
(I added a video so you can see what I mean.)

Sometimes it looks weird.
Sometimes it’s not pretty.
Sometimes it’s just messy AF.

But that’s the point.

This isn’t about aesthetics or knowing how to dance.
It’s about allowing your body to release what’s been building up inside.

Big, expansive movements.
Engage your whole body.
Shake it out like you’re literally releasing stress and tension.

Improvisation is one of the most powerful tools here.

Don’t wait until emotions get stuck in your body,
turn into psychosomatic symptoms,
and then need to be worked through with professionals later.

If you have the capacity — help yourself now.

And if you don’t… people in helping professions are always here.
