And you know what?

**I'm perfectly fucking good with that.**

I've learned something interesting over 45 years.

People don't always see you for who you are.

Sometimes they see you through their experiences.

Their assumptions.

Their expectations.

Or whatever version of you they've heard about from someone else.

And here's the funny part...

**Some people have stronger opinions about me than people who actually fucking know me.** 😂

I've been judged for my appearance.

My tattoos.

My personality.

My language.

My decisions.

My past.

And occasionally for things that have absolutely nothing to do with who I am today.

There was a time when I felt the need to explain myself.

Correct every misunderstanding.

Defend every decision.

Make sure everyone knew the REAL story.

But eventually, you realize something.

**You can spend your entire fucking life trying to control how people perceive you.**

And still never satisfy everyone.

So I stopped trying.

The people who genuinely know me?

They know my character.

They know my loyalty.

They know my flaws.

They know my heart.

And they know that I'm constantly working to become a better man.

Am I perfect?

**Fuck no.**

But I'm authentic.

I own my mistakes.

I learn.

I grow.

And I keep moving forward.

These days, I'm far more interested in **being someone I respect** than convincing everyone else to respect me.

Because their version of me?

That's their story.

**I'm too busy living mine.**

And trust me...

**The next chapters are going to be pretty fucking interesting.**

**I SWEAR A LOT. MY VOCABULARY ISN'T THE FUCKING PROBLEM.** 😂

Let's get something straight.

I swear.

A lot.

Sometimes for emphasis.

Sometimes out of frustration.

Sometimes because the situation genuinely deserves a well-placed **WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!**

And sometimes?

Because it's just fucking funny. 😂

Over the years, I've had people tell me I should watch my language.

That I should sound more professional.

That someone with my experience shouldn't need to swear to make a point.

And you know what?

Sometimes they're right.

**There's a time and place for everything.**

I've spent over 30 years working with executives, business owners, sales teams and professionals.

I know how to communicate in a boardroom.

I know how to negotiate.

I know how to coach.

And I know when to keep things polished.

But here's what I find interesting...

Some people will completely dismiss an intelligent conversation because somebody dropped an F-bomb.

Meanwhile, they'll happily listen to someone deliver absolute bullshit in perfectly polished language.

**I'd rather hear an uncomfortable truth with a few swear words than a beautifully delivered fucking lie.**

My language doesn't define my intelligence.

My tattoos don't define my professionalism.

And my personality doesn't erase my experience.

I believe in authenticity.

I believe in reading the room.

And I believe that sometimes the most appropriate response to life's absurdities is a very enthusiastic...

**FUCK. THAT. SHIT.** 😂

So yes, I'll continue working on being a better communicator.

But becoming a better communicator doesn't mean becoming somebody I'm not.

**OCTOBER 16, 1999 — OCTOBER 16, 2026.**

**27 fucking years.**

27 years without my dad.

My hero.

My world.

The man who taught me everything.

I was just a teenager when he was ripped away from me.

And even today, at 45 years old, there are moments when I'm still that kid who just wants his fucking dad back.

I'm sad.

I'm angry.

I'm pissed off at all the years we never got.

All the conversations.

All the milestones.

All the moments he should have been here for.

People say time heals everything.

**Bullshit.**

You learn to live with the pain.

You learn to carry it.

But some days, it still hurts like fucking hell.

I'd give absolutely anything for just 10 more minutes.

To hear his voice.

To hug him.

To tell him about my life.

To hear him tell me he's proud of the man I've become.

And to tell him one more time how much I fucking love him.

**27 years later, Dad, you're still my hero.**

I miss you more than words will ever explain.

**I'd give anything for 10 minutes with you.**

**MY SPECIALTY? REMOVING YOUR ABILITY TO SAY “I DIDN'T KNOW.”**

And believe me, that makes some people REALLY fucking uncomfortable. 😂

I've spent over 30 years in sales, management, consulting and coaching.

And one thing I've learned?

**Ignorance is sometimes a very convenient hiding place.**

It's easy to say:

“I didn't know.”

“Nobody told me.”

“I didn't realize.”

“I wish someone had explained that.”

Well, that's where I come in.

I'll ask the questions nobody else wants to ask.

I'll point out the problems you're pretending not to see.

I'll show you where your processes are broken, where your communication is failing, and where your own behaviour might be holding you back.

And I'll give you the tools to do something about it.

**But here's the catch...**

Once you know, you have a decision to make.

You can change.

You can improve.

You can take responsibility.

Or you can keep doing the same shit and accepting the same results.

**What you can't do anymore is pretend nobody told you.**

And this doesn't just apply to business.

It applies to relationships.

Leadership.

Communication.

Personal growth.

And yes, even me.

Because I have people in my life who aren't afraid to call me on my own bullshit.

And I fucking appreciate them for it.

I'm not interested in making people uncomfortable just for the sake of it.

**I'm interested in helping people become better.**

Sometimes that requires encouragement.

Sometimes it requires support.

And sometimes?

It requires someone looking you straight in the eyes and saying:

**“Now you know. What the fuck are you going to do about it?”**

And every time I hear it, I can't help but laugh.

Because, well... **they could've fucking written it about me.**

I'm bald.

I've got a beard, tattoos, a chain, and a vocabulary that would make a sailor blush.

I've been told I look like an accountant for a biker gang. 😂

I'm opinionated.

I'm sarcastic.

I ask uncomfortable questions.

I challenge people.

And I have absolutely no problem telling someone what I think.

But here's the thing...

**I'm also the guy who will show up when you need someone.**

I'll give you my time.

I'll help you figure shit out.

I'll celebrate your wins.

And I'll tell you when you're heading in the wrong direction.

I'm loyal as fuck to the people who matter.

Do I rub some people the wrong way?

**Abso-fucking-lutely.**

Have I always handled everything perfectly?

Not even close.

But at 45, I've stopped trying to become somebody everybody likes.

That's an exhausting fucking job with absolutely no benefits.

Some people love my personality.

Some people can't stand it.

And some people haven't even met me but already have an opinion. 😂

That's life.

**I'm not for everyone.**

But for the people I'm for?

**You get the real fucking Gio.**

No performance.

No pretending.

No watered-down version.

**DEALERSHIPS VS. MOM & POP MECHANICS**

W-T-FUCK!!!!! 🤬

For 20+ years in Montreal, Sergio was my mechanic.

I've remained proudly **Vehicle Intellectually Challenged** because I TRUSTED him.

Don't get me wrong...

Speed? LOVE IT.
Fast & Furious-style driving? HELL YES.
Manoeuvres and the fun stuff? ALL DAY.

But under the hood? NOT A FUCKING CLUE. 😂

Fast forward to Ontario.

Suzy (my Civic, and YES, she has a name) needed some work.

**HONDA: $3,000 + TAXES.**

Went to the local family mechanic my relatives have trusted for 20+ years.

**$600.**

SIX. HUNDRED. FUCKING. DOLLARS.

A $2,400+ DIFFERENCE?!?!

I understand overhead, marketing, fancy buildings, corporate expenses...

I've been in business for 30+ years.

**BUT WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!**

Are you fixing my car or asking me to make your mortgage payment?!

This is EXACTLY why I support small businesses.

Trust. Relationships. Fair pricing.

Sergio had my loyalty for 20+ years.

Looks like someone else just earned it.

**$3,000 VS. $600.**

And people wonder why consumers are losing trust in big corporations.

**MY SPECIALTY? MAKING PEOPLE LOOK AT THEIR TRUE SELVES IN THE MIRROR.**

And that, my friends, is probably why my fucking circle is so small. 😂

Here's something I've learned over 45 years.

Most people love honesty.

**Until that honesty is about them.**

They want advice.

They want guidance.

They want someone to listen, support them and help them figure shit out.

And I'm genuinely happy to do all of that.

But there's one thing I won't do.

**Tell you what you want to hear just to make you feel better.**

If you ask for my opinion, you're getting it.

If I see you sabotaging yourself, I'll tell you.

If your excuses are holding you back, I'll challenge them.

If you're blaming everyone else for problems you're contributing to, we're probably going to have an uncomfortable fucking conversation.

Not because I think I'm better than you.

**Because I believe you're capable of better.**

And here's the part that matters...

I hold myself to those same standards.

I've had plenty of moments where the guy looking back at me in the mirror needed a serious fucking reality check.

And I've had to own my shit, too.

That's growth.

That's accountability.

That's how you become a better person.

But not everyone wants that.

Some people want validation, not perspective.

Agreement, not honesty.

Comfort, not accountability.

And that's okay.

**I'm not everyone's cup of tea.**

My circle might be small.

But the people in it know something:

I'll support you.

I'll challenge you.

I'll stand beside you.

**But I'll never bullshit you.**

And I expect the same in return.

Because the most important conversation you'll ever have?

**Is the one where you finally stop lying to the person in the mirror.**

**YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER. BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE IT DRINK.**

This is one of those sayings that becomes more fucking relevant the older I get.

I've spent over 30 years in sales, management, coaching and mentoring.

I've helped people build businesses, improve their performance, develop confidence and recognize opportunities they couldn't see themselves.

And I've learned one very important lesson:

**You cannot want success, growth or change more than the person you're trying to help.**

You can give someone the tools.

The knowledge.

The strategy.

The support.

The fucking roadmap.

You can show them exactly where they're going wrong and what they need to do differently.

But you cannot force them to act.

And believe me, I've tried.

I've invested time, energy and emotion into helping people who simply weren't ready to help themselves.

That's not always easy to accept.

Especially when you genuinely care about their success.

But here's the reality:

**Advice means nothing without action.**

Coaching means nothing without commitment.

Opportunity means nothing without initiative.

And accountability means nothing if someone refuses to take responsibility.

These days, I'm much more selective about where I invest my energy.

I'll help someone who wants to grow.

I'll challenge someone who's willing to learn.

I'll go above and beyond for someone who's prepared to put in the fucking work.

But I won't drag someone toward a future they aren't willing to pursue.

**My job is to show you the water.**

**Your job is to decide whether you're thirsty enough to drink.**

And that applies to business, relationships, health and just about every aspect of life.
