Welcome to what the 12 days countdown until I get my endometriosis removed, while training for an Ironman, with lupus, looks like 🤪🎗️

Every single day without doubt, I’m swelling. My body is changing every day and honestly the body dysmorphia is beyond fucked as I genuinely have no idea what I look like anymore and it’s actually really mentally challenging going from a size 10 to a size 16 in a matter of hours 😡

Eating lots and sleeping even more. I’m now taking daily codeine bc I am in so much pain I can not sit down but also stoked I now have a pain management plan for the next 12 days 💊😴

Swimming, cycling and running but scaled back bc my pelvic pain is now kicking off when riding or running, but swimming is still pleasant 💛

I had 4x drs apt this week, 2x therapy sessions, 2 sets of bloods, 2 new drugs added to my mix, pissed in mannny cups for some lupus screenings and 1 apt with my pelvic floor physio (@womenshealthwithheidi ) who I think everyone with endo should invest in seeing bc woah what a game changer 💌👩‍⚕️

Soaking up every last drop of the ocean before I go on a swimming ban for 6 weeks post op 🌊

Being a female athlete in a male dominated sport has made me so so so empowered and proud to be competing as the 25%. I’m actually so cranky about this “sports campaign” so I wanted to share what women in sports actually looks like, from my pov, riddled with lupus and endometriosis xxx

If you’re looking for more female athlete content I could not recommend @thefemaleathleteproject more!! And credit goes to @tillylr TikTok for inspiring me to make my own bc women in sport are so COOL AND STRONG!

Genuinely for as long as I can remember, all I’ve wanted to do in life, is give a mental health talk in high schools and share my journey with mental health to hopefully help others. Today I gave my talk in-front of 150 really scary teenagers bc 17 year old Sarah, needed to hear 28 year old Sarah’s Story. 17 year old Sarah wouldn’t even do public speaking for her English assignments and she would be so shocked to know that working as a community ambassador in public speaking ALL THE TIME (and hopefully changing lives while doing so).
I’m a very proud chicken today, everyday in my world I’d RUOK day and I’m so keen for all the other schools I’ve got lined up for the rest of the year. So if you’re a high school teacher and maybe you’ve got a group of students who could use a chat, absolutely pleaaaasseeeee slide into my DMs bc this today filled my cup in ways I didn’t know possible 💛
