That time of year is coming and I’m SO ready for it! We had a great year on GIANT trout last year and this years only going to get better. This will be a great and chilly winter to go and target these special fish! I already have dates starting to fill so try to book and plan ahead! Let’s go break your PB!

Make sure you swing by @roysbaitandtackle to grab your @mirrolure_official soft dines and fat boys along with @texas_custom_lures this winter I’ll be throwing the @sargerods free bird, it gives perfect action for corkys and topwaters. Paired with @fishseaguar it’s pretty dang hard to beat. @batesfishingco salty hundo has grown to be one of my favorite reels especially on a sarge rod. As winter starts @mirrolure_official and @texas_custom_lures will be FLYING off the shelves so make sure you stock up while you can! taken in Roy's Bait & Tackle Outfitters by @sargerods

Sarge Custom Rods was built in Southeast Texas for the kind of fishing Southeast Texas is known for.

Born along the upper Texas Gulf Coast, Sarge designs fishing rods for anglers chasing speckled trout, redfish, and the hard-fighting species that live in the bays, marshes, and waterways around here. Their rods pair carefully engineered blanks with premium components from names like Fuji and REC, creating lightweight, responsive equipment built for serious time on the water.

And these aren’t rods designed by people guessing what Gulf Coast anglers need. Sarge builds them here because they fish here. The same water, the same conditions, and the same expectations shape how every rod is designed, tested, and ultimately built.

We’re proud to have Sarge Custom Rods joining the 2026 Marsh Master Roundup as a Swamp Friend and Founding Sponsor. Thank y’all for supporting an event rooted in the same Southeast Texas outdoor culture that built Sarge in the first place.
