Today was my first time wrestling live since tearing my adductor, my groin tissue, and my lower abdominal back in April. And while I still have a ways to go, I’ll be damned if I don’t celebrate this victory 🥹 This is my second “comeback” I’ve managed in the space of about eight months and woooweeee it’s been no joke. But wowww do I feel grateful to this body of mine. I went to the locker room after practice and wept in awe and love that I get to do this and that I’ve fought very hard to be able to do so. Of course I could not even dream of doing this without the people on my team and in my life who have literally and figuratively built me up. Love radiates out of me for each one of you 🌞💗

Welp. As ever, I have a mountain of work and challenge ahead of me. I feel very excited by it. I am committed to my work. I read a quote the other day, “genius is the ability to put into effect what is in your mind. There’s no other definition of it.” Well in my mind I dare greatly despite the risk or the chances or the fear. In my mind, the obstacle is a doorway into whole new possibility. Sarah is such a great ambassador to women’s wrestling —bringing incredible energy, genuine passion, and a deep love for the sport to every interaction.

More importantly, she leads by example. She gives young wrestlers someone to look up to, someone who has walked the path, and someone who shows them that their dreams are worth chasing.
