Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day! .... When I moved to the US from Germany in 2021, I had just finished my breast cancer treatments and was trying to piece my life back together.

Corinne and Crissy were among my first connections on this journey and helped me in so many ways. Slowly I started to get to know more and more people who were either working or walking in the cancer world, or both.

I always dreamed of one day being able to offer that same love and support to others.

5 years later, I’m still here. 🙏🏽 Grateful, humbled, feeling healthier, stronger, and more connected to myself than ever — and so happy to share some of what has helped me along the way. 🎀

Join us for Power & Peace: In the Face of Cancer — a day to pause, reconnect, feel seen and heard, and simply be.

Beyond the Pink.

We all know it’s October because the pink is coming from every angle. But behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family, and a story.

1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. And 1 in a 100 Men (Yes, men are not exempt).

Chances are, you know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Maybe a friend, mother, sister, a coworker, or maybe it’s you.

This month, let’s make awareness about more than wearing pink.
Know your risk.
Know what is normal for your body.
Stay up to date with recommended screenings.
Speak up when something changes.

And for those navigating a diagnosis, remember that cancer care is about more than treating the disease. It’s about caring for the whole person.

At Sari Center, our integrative approach recognizes the physical, emotional, and overall well-being of each person throughout their cancer journey. Supportive care can be an important part of helping patients navigate treatment and life beyond it.
Because behind every diagnosis is a whole person who deserves whole-person care. 💖

Power and Peace: In The Face of Cancer a mini retreat hosted by Sari Center is all about connection, taking time to slow down, and tap into the powers within for healing in the face of cancer.

Please join myself, Corinne Executive Director of Sari Center, and Christine Manko Petersen of Mindful Coaching & Training. We are super excited to welcome anyone who has experienced or are experiencing a cancer diagnosis and to pour so much love into them.

Such a great afternoon at Girls Rock Tiki 52 supporting #Sari Asher Center for Integrative Cancer Care.
One of the best parts was connecting with so many people in our community, including Chrissy from Two Girls and A Cup of Wellness after having such a fun conversation with her and Marie on their podcast!
Grateful for the connections, music, and a community that continues to show up for those impacted by breast cancer.
