My message to you is simple… starting over in a new country can make you question everything. racism, language barriers, loneliness, financial struggles, and sleepless nights may make you want to leave.

But progress can look like staying, adjusting, working while studying, improving your english, and finally graduating.

I chose Biology by focusing on the degree, not the jobs waiting after it.

After graduating, I learned that many jobs wanted experience, skills, or credentials I never planned for.

Now, I research the career first. I check the requirements, experience, pay, growth, and daily work before investing more years in education.

The study system I wish I knew earlier 👇

Studysmarter where you:

1. Understand first 🧠
Break the topic into smaller parts and figure out how the concepts connect.

2. Recall without looking 💭
Close your notes and try to explain what you just learned from memory.

3. Practice what you learned 📝
Use questions to find what you actually know and what still needs work.

4. Review over time 🔁
Come back to the material instead of trying to memorize everything in one sitting.

I used to spend hours rereading and still forget everything the next day.

Changing how I studied made a much bigger difference than simply studying longer.

If you just graduated and feel stuck, start here:

Apply every week. Pick a number, like 10, and hit it even when nobody replies.
Learn one skill every day. 30 minutes is enough. Pick something the jobs you want are asking for.
Message one person a week, like a classmate, a professor, or someone in the field you want.

You can’t control who replies. You can control what you do next.

Save this for your first month. Send it to a friend who just graduated.

I thought graduating meant someone would show me what comes next. Nobody did.

I had to figure it out myself: researching jobs, learning new skills, applying again after rejections. I'm still figuring it out.

If you're there too, you're not behind. You're just in the finding part.

Sometimes one rejection makes me forget everything it took to get here.

The degree I finished. The things I finally understood. The times I tried again when I wanted to stop.

I’m still disappointed when things don’t work out. But I’m learning to give my effort as much attention as my setbacks.

I wish some things were different. I’m still proud I made it this far.
