My initial thought was this fuckin asshole. She just had to try. Why couldn’t she try for herself, her boys for her family. If there was a health problem fix it. Why couldn’t you fuckin fix it? Anger is so much easier than being sad. But that’s the grief, isn’t it?The guilt of not speaking to her as much and as deep as we once did. Even when she was the one that introduced me to Indian food when I turned vegetarian at a young age, bought me beer and cigs and condoms, she bought me my first No Doubt CD, put me on Amy Winhouse and made me laugh when I didn’t think there was anything worth laughing about. When I left for college she kept my mom company. After I left Humboldt & I was at my most suicidal, she was fucking there. She was an older sister more than a cousin and so fuckin integral to who I am to this day. I don’t think there is a better picture to encapsulate what you are to me than the first photo. I’m sorry I was distant. I love you cuz. by @sarynaarylle

About the other day—Miss doing my art and I miss sunny days at the beach. Also I’ve been listening to this song by @phat_wes on repeat lately. Something nostalgic and beachy about it. #california #illustration #art #drawing #music #artists taken in Asilomar State Beach by @sarynaarylle
