Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to Elders both past and present. 🖤💛❤️

Introducing SASA! 🇦🇺🇦🇫🇧🇩🇧🇹🇮🇳🇮🇷🇲🇻🇳🇵🇵🇰🇱🇰

A bit about us-

The South Asian Sydney Association (SASA) is a Non-Profit Organisation founded by Noor Batra (@noor_batra_ ) in 2020.

SASA believes in fostering and forming genuine human connections.

As this page has grown, it has been highly educational in teaching us just how overlapping yet unique cultures can be across South Asia.

South Asia includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Majority of the posts on our page are Sydney dwellers however we do still love supporting businesses who ship to Sydney too :)

Our two main aims remain the same-

1) To make it easier especially for South Asian migrants and diaspora to stay connected to their cultural roots in Australia
2) To continue to learn and spread awareness to all regardless if South Asian or not about our rich cultural diversity and right to be seen + heard

If you’d like to get a free feature, pls request us as collaborator or email us:
-pictures/videos that best represent you or your business (preferably through Dropbox/Onedrive so we can maintain the quality)
-a caption about what you’d like to contribute whether that’s to Sydney’s South Asian community, your passion/s or info about your event (N.B. We ask you to kindly write this up since you know yourself best!)
-location (optional) so it’s easier for others to connect with you

🕉️ Limit= 1 post per account 🕉️

Please DM us for our email just so that we can avoid receiving spam!

We delete all media from our devices once it’s been posted up and do not claim to own the content we share :)

Disclaimer: please do your own research before trusting anyone or their business- we wish to foster a safe space

🫶🏽 ALSO- if you would like to keep up to date with SASA-led events, feel free to check out @sasa_culture !!

If you have any suggestions, we love receiving feedback! This helps us make the page even better. :)

Would love your support! ✨

Breast cancer is not just about the diagnosis. It's about the life that continues around it 💗

This October, let's focus on the thriving: the strength, the recovery, the support and the moments that matter, not just the surviving.
