Join the Akamai Internship Program where they offer college students from Hawai‘i an opportunity to gain work experience at an observatory, company, or scientific/technical facility in Hawai‘i in a summer program. The program has placements for students from community colleges and four-year universities from a wide range of STEM majors.🔭⚗

This field course is part of the educational exchange program between the Uehiro Center for the Advancement of Oceanography (UC•AO) at UH Mānoa and the Uehiro Laboratory for Oceanography (ULO) at Hokkaido University. The course offers a unique opportunity to experience winter field research in northern Japan, where students will explore sea ice biogeochemistry through hands-on observations, sampling, and laboratory activities. ❄️⛄

Three UH Mānoa students will be selected to participate alongside approximately 15–20 students from Hokkaido University. 🐧

Application Deadline: November 15th 2026 2027 Lake Saroma Field Course: Sea Ice Biogeochemistry in Hokkaido, Japan program where SOEST program and marine bio students can take part in an exchange program and experience winter field research in northern Japan. by @sasc_uhm
