It amazes me the number of homes decorated in my neighbourhood for Halloween. Fun to walk around and experience them through the eyes of a 3 yr old.

Beyond the Weight Episode 3.16: Blame It On The Man

Today we have a deep conversation about diet fatigue and the resentment we sometimes feel when we have to work so hard for so long to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Don’t worry, we also have a good chuckle about Henny’s reticence to do simple household tasks, and we get excited about Banana Cottage Cheese muffins!

Happy birthday to this amazing woman! Mom, daughter, wife, sister, and business owner… she does it all!!

Happy Birthday Emeline!

We all love you so much❤️ by @saseybydesign

We gifted my dad a flight on the Chipmunk Warplane for his 80th birthday. It seemed like the perfect gift because the Chipmunk was also celebrating its 80th birthday.

The Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton does an incredible job of sharing part of Canada’s contribution to the war and specifically the contribution of those in the Hamilton area.

The collection of warplanes is expansive and impressive. It will definitely not be my last visit.

For anyone looking for a different and memorable gift idea, I highly suggest buying a flight on one of the planes.

Beyond the Weight Episode 3.13: It’s a Whole New Ball Game

Today we start with a good chuckle about how wrong people are when they assume our ages and our relationships to the people around us. Then we get into a discussion about wills, inheritance, and how different some people’s opinions are from our own when it comes to these things. Finally, we learn that Sandy’s AI believes her to be resilient (spoiler alert: she actually really is).

Beyond the Weight Episode 3.12: Vacation Update

Today we hear Henny’s latest hot take, and Sandy just can’t quite believe it! Then we get into some details about both of our recent vacations. Henny’s been road-tripping it up while Sandy’s been living the cottage life. We share some of the activities that kept us busy and - of course - the food that kept us full!

Beyond the Weight Episode 3.7: Strong, Independent Women

Today we go on a deep dive into movies and shows we’ve been loving recently. Henny’s had a few issues to deal with lately, and she’s tried to be brave about them. Sandy’s had some corrective eye surgery, and she’s sporting some fabulous glasses to protect those peepers. Finally, we play a little game of “Have you replaced your ____ or not?” Join us!

Back out on the Bruce Trail today! First trail hike of 2026 as we slowly tick away at completing the 900km Bruce Trail. Today we tackled a section through Stoney Creek to Hamilton and enjoyed three beautiful waterfalls along the way.
Perfect weather and the best hiking partner😉.
