Single Photo Friday

I love doing these spotlight projection shoots so much. I feel like they create a space away from conventional beauty standards and allow us to connect with our bodies as a part of our artistic expression.

A very convoluted way of saying they look cool as fuck

what a beautiful production. no other show has felt like 3rd grade recess quite like this one. thank you to @kimmydooleydoo for bringing this litter together under an unparalleled vision, @kevmgru for pushing us beyond what we all thought capable of ourselves, and @mpatrickwiles for leading us through the tongue twisted nature of this show

en fin, thank you to this beautiful beautiful cast who have all become treasured friends, and i was in true awe watching you all work in rehearsals and performances. one day ill feel worthy of having partaken in this process.

For my session with @sasha.holton, we explored themes of being in the room next to a party, along with the intersection of a deeply religious upbringing and her experience as a trans woman.
‌
We decided to go with my projection lighting style because it fit the intention so well. All of the projections are designed by me using ProCreate.
‌
These are just a few of the stunning images we got from this shoot. I am always shocked at how spectacular the photos from my projection shoots turn out. It feels like every image is a knock out from this shoot with Sasha.
‌
It was such a lovely opportunity to be a part of someone expressing themself and telling their story.
‌
What’s you’re favorite photo from this shoot? 💋

The end of an era.

But it’s never “goodbye”, just “see you later”. It’s been an honor to share The Rocky Horror Show with you for 10 years. Happy closing night to the cast and crew, thank you for the magic. As our fearless leader Frank says, “Don’t Dream It, Be It”- and if you walk away from this show with anything, we hope it’s that line. Stop dreaming and start being, the world will be better for it. 💕

‘Til next time. taken in SF Oasis by @sasha.holton

We had a bittersweet opening weekend of The Rocky Horror Show- both bombastic and wild while still feeling sentimental about our last run of this immersive production at Oasis. Thank you to our audiences, reviewers, cast, crew, staff, and everyone that has made this show so special! Like our fearless leader Frank-N-Furter (aka @darcydrollinger) always says- we can put the wigs on, as can turn the lights on, but if you don’t show up this doesn’t happen. So thank you for keeping San Francisco San Francisco. 🌟

🚨 We’ve added ONE DATE Monday 10/27 so get your tickets NOW! The rest of the run is sold out, but you can line up early (first doors are at 6:30) on any show night for a chance at walk up tickets! taken in SF Oasis by @sasha.holton
