the older the comb, the darker it becomes

comb is better when cycled out often, allowing bees to build whatever cell size is required within each season

it’s adaptive renewal within the hive and seen as a responsibility as a medicinal keeper

comb tells a story and real honey is crushed out of it by @sashabeechadwick

article done today - I grew out of it a yr ago (analysing, proving points, pulling apart, intellectualising - grrr was a heap and was not all necessary really truly for my heart to mend, though i enjoyed a lot of it) and important to always finish a task regardless - it called me so I dedicated myself until done - it’s potent for me, not sure how others will digest it yet. sending for peer review now

knowing the ever changing nature of environment (like this spontaneous ocean time for last week of writing… lol), I will never truly change, born a sasha always a sasha - adaptation is key

calling in my witnesses and asking more questions, now (after a death heavy substitutionary diet) what else is available??? new states are awaiting

propolis •

the veins of the earth.

in plain language, it is tree resin & bee enzymes. In poetic dialogue, it is “the veins of the earth” and the history of your surroundings, mixed with the enzymes of bees.

anciently known as “The Defence of the City”.

what defends the hive, defends the human system quite the same.

the hive would not survive without it, as it is the entire nutrient barrier.

the bees will use propolis to mummify intruders; after bees sting intruders to death, they cover the body in propolis and remove the unwanted guest, leaving behind no trace of scent or life. yhe propolis helps the intruder return back to nature, eventually.

find a video tutorial on my new YouTube account for more information on how you can use it within your home, practically. find the tappy thing in the usual space. by @sashabeechadwick

“tanging, with the bees”

first day back - I thought I’d be cleaning out dead hives and crying over the death, only to return to birth, being able to bask within a natural swarm

I wasn’t expecting that

all upgrading together it seems

still downing my raw concoctions - snack break was a big glass of raw milk, raw honey and two raw egg yolks, shaken into a milkshake

curious about this season

medicinal apiculture doesn’t aim to trap the bees

we offer, wait and observe, they decide what’s good for them

very curious to see what this season brings to the table
