37?! Girl, you put me THROUGH IT! It was a little ghetto but I survived 😂

Transition after transition, a whole lot of learning, some growing pains, and more changes than I would’ve liked. But somewhere in the middle of all that, I was reminded of a few things.

Houston is HOME and community is everything. But most importantly, Avery and I can get through just about anything together. Life may throw us a curveball (or five), but we’ll figure it out.

For 38, I want to be more present, less anxious, and stop worrying so much about things I can’t control. I want more dinner parties, more random get-togethers, more laughing until my stomach hurts, and more enjoying the life that’s happening right in front of me.

37 taught me a lot, but I’m hoping 38 lets me put some of those lessons to good use without another transition cuz I ain’t got it in me!

I want to thank everyone that celebrated with me this weekend, for the hugs, the birthday wishes and love. My heart is full and I couldn’t think of a better way to walk into a new year.

Cheers to 38! by @sashasays_

She wanted an amazing Homecoming for her birthday. Hard thing to guarantee…if we went to any other school. I think the deepest form of trust amongst Bison is when we put our faith in you about “what the next move” is of isn’t. Luckily all of yall helped this weekend. #HUHC by @sashasays_

Happy 5th birthday to my favorite little boy, my Libra twin, and my 3rd heartbeat. 🥹💙

Life with him has been so much fun, and I’m so glad I get to be his mommy. Ermi, is so kind, loving, funny, and smart, and every day I’m in awe of the little person he’s becoming.

We love you more than you’ll ever know. Happy birthday, Ermias Jah! 🥳💙

Soph the goat!!!! Omg! I’m so proud of my girl. In November she played a part in her schools production of Annie and she was so hard on herself. But for her Black History Month Showcase, she put in the work and practiced, practiced practiced! And baby did she deliver. I’m so proud of her growth and progress in this short time. She’s THAT GIRL! And I couldn’t be more proud. #myheart #proudmama by @sashasays_
