Doug Fir security screen and storm door! Doug fir storms on the porch!
We used @odiesoil on all of the clear fir you see here. When I worked at @thejoinery all of their finishes were traditional hand rubbed oil with wet sanding and then a hand wax finish it is an amazing finish, which is infinitely repairable. This oil is the closest thing to traditional hand rubbed furniture oil I have found, and it works for exterior exposure!!! taken in The Sashwright Co. by @sashwrightco

Carl installed, Billy Built, Bill painted, mission accomplished!

The original outswing windows required a storm window to provide any draft protection, rendering them useless.

We replicated these and finished them out of 50 year rot free wood and upgraded them with modern insulated glass and weatherstripping.

This is team effort and the team is good. The team is very good!

These should last 50-100 years with a glass replacement in the 30-40 year range. We wish insulated glass had better durability, (like 100 years would be a good starting point), and when that glass is available we will celebrate and put it In-N-Our work. taken in The Sashwright Co. by @sashwrightco
