From the furthest thing away from chic, to certified chic!

There was lack of storage, bad layout of appliances, awkward fridge, no seating and some awful awful lighting omg !!

Everything for this successful kitchen design was planned by us.

However, what was unplanned and also successful, was the matching of my vest to my client’s pot on the stove!!! So unplanned that I didn’t even notice the matching, till I looked at the photos after leaving 😮

I founded Saslove Design in 2020, and as the years have passed, I have met so many interesting clients. Swipe to read why some projects make it to this page and others don’t 😬

4 years later this kitchen remains a unique yet timeless work of art, but that art on the fridge truly is the cherry on top, just as it was having their children present for some of the design meetings; cute and always busy!

Swipe to see what this family thought about working on this project with us.

P.S.: we are now booking 2027, message us to inquire about the process to start working together.

My external-internal obsession: to bring nature in

Nature is one of interior design’s best inspirations.

Also one of the reasons I desire projects in southern countries, where we can truly allow nature in much more easily literally.

Maple + Black edges reigns chic almost 6 years later 👑

We were asked to design this corner that
was jam packed with stuff originally. The
difficult part was finding a material for the
cabinetry, which the clients found pleasing
but also was able to compliment the other
side of the kitchen’s cabinetry, that would
be staying. The exact cabinetry wasn’t possible
to match since it was a discontinued acrylic.
We ended up going with maple veneer slab
doors. Note the black details; some edge
banding on open cabinetry and the black
toekick!

We also kept the counter on the white
side of the kitchen, and used the new
counter for new side as backsplash piece
under the tile backsplash above.
This created repetition/cohesion and flow
within the kitchen design.
