Crushing and cathartic @neurosisoakland set Friday night as a packed and reverent crowd welcomed the band back at their first local show in 7 years (I hadn't seen them in closer to a decade). Powerful stuff! Was up front for @terrygrossband, so stuck it out for the first hour or so before my ears required a break... taken in The Fillmore by @sasquatchsf

Great to see @terrygrossband making a bunch of new fans at @thefillmore opening for @neurosisoakland Friday night! A blazing set prior to the lung-collapsing volume of the headliner. I'd include my poorly executed selfie with @its_spelled_reilly and the band at Super Duper but me and the kid are even more cut off at the edges... taken in The Fillmore by @sasquatchsf

Whoops! Was running around all day and forgot to mention this show FRIDAY NITE with @sealparty6, @bruisedbananaband_ and Low tribute band Dinosaur Act at the @firesidealameda! More info on the Sasquatch Stomps! blog, link in my bio... taken in The Fireside Alameda by @sasquatchsf

@rush was EXACTLY as epic as anticipated! Spectacular visually and musically. Heartfelt tributes to the Professor #NeilPeart were center stage throughout the evening as @anika.nilles gave a goddamn clinic. @geddyimages was in great voice and ripping on the bass all night, but to me the real hero was @thereallerxst, who dealt out one flamethrowing face-melting solo after another. A great night hanging with @jim.granato and @b_ho_blvd. Round #2 Saturday! taken in SAP Center by @sasquatchsf

In today's other case of "Dammit, I could SWEAR I wrote them up!" I absolutely have written at length about @neurosisoakland in the past. Unfortunately those items seem to have vanished into the void of the Internet. Kind of appropriate since the band's surprise album from earlier this year was exactly the cathartic post-metal scream into the abyss the world needed. Stoked to see them and Friday opener @terrygrossband at @thefillmore (regardless of the misinformation @livenationnorcal and @ticketmaster have been spreading). Those catching Saturday's show get the equally outstanding @kowloonwalled supporting. Yooooooo once again a friend is looking for somebody to take a spare ticket off their hands, so if you are contemplating the sold-out @sexpistols gig at @thewarfield Wednesday night, I'll connect you with Ryan for the below face goods. Goofy pic of the artist formerly known as #JohnnyRotten for the algae rhythm... taken in The Warfield by @sasquatchsf

Another Wednesday night option as part of a relentless Rawktober. I somehow can't find anything I've written about @notdummy, which is weird given I've seen them multiple times and am enough of a fan you'd think I'd have prosumer blabbed the F out of them. They're playing @thechapelsf with @golombgolombgolomb, @__youcryforeternity and @sachis__mirror. @zackr_thx_1138 provides mind-bending visuals at this @folkyeahevents show. No write up as noted above, but this one definitely has the Sasquatch Stomps stamp of approval! taken in The Chapel by @sasquatchsf

@talentmoat and @theestorkcluboakland doing their best to continue Rawktober's exhausting onslaught Wednesday night with nervy local heroes @riproom, touring Baltimore post-punks @quattracenta and Oakland dark-wave band @fog_lamp_bay. I'm bit behind on my Sunday shenanigans documentation. Went to @the_ritespot for burgers, beers and Equinox for the first time in forever with @432isperfect before we went to @thechapelsf and the @makeoutroomsf respectively. It was international @bigcrownrecords soul night with Indonesian R&B outfit the @theemarloes and Turkish psych/soul crew @deryayildirim_grupsimsek. Both bands pulled medium-sized crowds that made up for their size with their enthusiasm. Not bad for a day of rest! by @sasquatchsf
