The ring for the archery contest, from willow and linen. Held at Bachrittertage '26, hosted by @die_reisecen and @comthurey_alpinum . My friends in other countries, makes life feel so connected and beautiful 💌 missing Portland people something fierce but this really filled up my heart by @satinitas
So many splendid moments over the last few months since arriving in Europe. Moments in Ireland, England, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, I feel so full and nourished on the many good conversations I've had and beautiful things I've seen. I miss my PNW friends something fierce though. But what serendipity for these travels to overlap with the publishing of the book that @archaicgrowth and I made with the rare jewel of the publishing world, @_hyldyr_ . Its hard to express the humbling joy I feel from witnessing support for this passion project in homes and shops all over, and in the hands of friends new and old. Thank you everyone. Some more copies still available at hyldyr.com! Idle hands < wood dust covered hands "Ich arbeite an der drechselbank und ich mache einen kerzen halter"...or so I said to many visitors at @bachritterburg_kanzach with @die_reisecen last week 🕯️✨ made an object of beauty and utility with the help of dear ones Photos by @haffner.christian and Daniel #13thcentury #livinghistory #medieval by @satinitas
NOW AVAILABLE AT HYLDYR.COM. A unique and surreal publication unlike any before it, this atmospheric book combines photographs, illustrations, and scholarship-grounded discussion from artists and historical reenactors Kevin Alexandrowicz and Devon Rawlings to explore the topic of death in the Viking Age (around the years 800 to 1100). For example, the authors create characters inspired by graves  while highlighting what is and is not known about numerous burials from the period. In addition, this experimental edition includes introductions from archaeologists Leszek Gardeła (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany) and Giorgia Sottotetti (National Museum of Iceland) alongside a wide variety of supplemental items. #viking #anglosaxon #reenactment #livinghistory #norse by @satinitas

There is the learned ability to take a photo, and then there is the masterful skill of learning to see and hold truly a person's essence. Ashley @alchemytintypestudio is of course masterful at her craft, but above all she is careful and caring with those before her lens. I felt it was long over due for a proper sharing of these beautiful tintypes captured by Ashley's magic eye. • • • We made these one day amongst the roses, inspired by some much loved Waterhouse paintings. I am wearing a Victorian wrapper style dress that I made and will sell through @baseborn.co this spring. Now is the time to dream of flowers, beacons of joy and fecundity that bloom tall in resistance to the bitter frost ❄️ • • • #preraphaelite #tintype #victorian #johnwilliamwaterhouse by @satinitas
