"WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS PLACE IN SÃO PAULO?"

I didn’t come here for the art.
I came for the architecture — and I was still surprised.

Oscar Niemeyer’s work always draws me in, but this time, it was more than just the building.
We had the whole place to ourselves.
The rooftop was quiet, the city stretched out in every direction, and everything just… slowed down.

Sometimes the best places aren’t the loud ones.

BEHIND EVERY CUP OF TEA IS A STORY.

A story like this.
The rolling hills of Nuwara Eliya are some of the most photographed landscapes in Sri Lanka.

But the most important part of the picture isn’t the hills.
It’s the people.

The women moving quietly through the plantations.
The hands reaching for the youngest leaves.
The baskets slowly filling throughout the day.

As photographers, it’s easy to focus on the scenery.

But standing amongst the tea bushes, listening to the soft sound of leaves being picked, I was reminded that these landscapes exist because of generations of people who have worked them.

Tea arrived in Sri Lanka in 1867 after a disease devastated the island’s coffee industry. Within a few decades, Ceylon tea became famous around the world and remains one of Sri Lanka’s most important exports today.

The next time you drink a cup of tea, think about where it started.

HOW IS A PLACE LIKE THIS EVEN REAL?

Still water.
Steep mountains rising straight out of the fjord.
Waterfalls pouring down cliffs that barely look real.

Then a tiny boat glides through the middle of it all —
and suddenly you understand the scale.

I genuinely felt lucky to witness this place in person.
Not just because it’s beautiful…
but because of how quiet it felt.

No rush.
No noise.
Just the sound of waterfalls echoing across the fjord.

✨ Wander Fact:
Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in the world and was carved by glaciers during the last Ice Age over 10,000 years ago. Vikings once travelled these same waters to move between isolated mountain settlements hidden deep inside the fjords.

Some places are beautiful.
Others make you feel small in the best possible way.

HOW ARE THESE HOUSES EVEN REAL?

Tiny wooden homes sitting beneath mountains that completely dwarf them.Waterfalls spilling down valleys in the distance.And sunlight breaking through the trees like something out of a painting.

Aurlandsfjord didn’t feel like a real place.It felt imagined.

The thing I remember most wasn’t just the fjord itself —it was the scale.

Little houses tucked deep into the valleys,surrounded by cliffs so steep they barely looked possible.A single boat moving across still water.Everything quiet except for distant waterfalls echoing through the fjord.

I genuinely felt lucky to witness this in person.Some landscapes are beautiful.Others completely reset your sense of scale.

✨ Wander Fact:For centuries, families living along Norway’s fjords were so isolated that boats were their only connection to the outside world. Many tiny farms and houses hidden in these valleys could only be reached by water — with some communities remaining almost completely cut off during winter.

THIS DOESN’T LOOK REAL… BUT IT IS.

You walk out to the edge —
and suddenly there’s nothing but water.

Devil’s Throat.
A drop so powerful it creates its own weather.

Then you start noticing the details.
Cascades stretching further than you expected.
Mist rising in waves.
And a tiny boat below — just to remind you how massive this really is.

THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST INSANE WATERFALL ON EARTH.

It started with a fun encounter with that parrot.
Just the eye — bright green, completely still, staring right back at me.

Then I turned around… and everything changed.

The sound hit first.
Then the mist.
Then that feeling like you’re standing inside something alive.

I kept shooting, but honestly —
some of these didn’t even feel like photos.
They felt like moments you don’t get twice.

We slowed down here.
Had lunch right next to the falls.
Watched instead of chasing.

THE PLACE THAT DECIDED WHO WORKED FOR EMPERORS 🇻🇳

Terracotta roofs. Silent courtyards. Stone records of ambition.

Most people walk through Temple of Literature without realizing what they’re standing in.

This was Vietnam’s first national university, built in 1070.
For centuries, scholars here sat imperial exams that decided who would serve in the emperor’s court.

Pass, and your name was carved into history.
Fail, and your path ended here.

Those names were engraved onto stone slabs carried by turtles — symbols of wisdom and endurance in Vietnamese culture.

But here’s what most people miss…

The heads of those stone turtles are worn smooth.

Not just from time — but from generations of students touching them for luck before their exams.

So what remains today isn’t just architecture.
It’s ambition, still being passed hand to stone.

WHY DID THEY ABANDON THE BIGGEST TEMPLE EVER BUILT?

It starts with a staircase that feels endless.
Brick after brick, rising under the heat —
until suddenly, you realise just how massive this place is.

✨ Wander Fact:
Mingun Pahtodawgyi was commissioned in 1790 by King Bodawpaya and was meant to be the largest temple in the world — over 150 metres tall.
Construction stopped after a prophecy warned that finishing it would bring the king’s death… and later earthquakes left the massive crack you see today.

Some places impress you.
This one makes you wonder what could have been.

WHY IS NOBODY TRAVELLING HERE?

The slow creak of wooden floors above the lake.
Sunlight spilling through stilted windows.
And a seamstress weaving lotus silk like her mother once did.
Myanmar has places that feel untouched by the world —
and this floating village is one of them.

Inside this multi-storey wooden house,
women weave lotus-silk thread drawn from real lotus stems —
a craft found almost nowhere else on Earth.

Lotus silk weaving began in Inle Lake over 100 years ago,
created by local artisans as offerings for Buddhist monks.
Every scarf requires thousands of lotus stems —
which is why it’s one of the rarest textiles in the world.
