Simple and satisfying. I always wanted to build this bike, learning skills and techniques along the way and with patient advice from friends thankfully it has come out as close to perfect as I could have hoped for.

A winter bike to keep you riding.

Special thanks to Jack at @sturdycycles, the guys at @mohawkscycles and Liam at @newdales_cycles.

Beyond stoked with this one. Went a little bit over the top but when you build a frame for a friend you have got to. Steep seatube, slack headtube apparently turns out very fun. My first proper mtb but probably not my last. @jack.bikes1 is already loving it. #Handmade #Framebuilding #Columbus #InTheZona taken in Goodwood Racecourse by @satsuma_cycles

An old boot, a leather jacket, a worn floorboard, a school chair, a church pew, a book read a hundred times, a record, an old guitar, your grandfather’s tools.

Draw inspiration from the simplest things and make them your own. I didn’t make this bike, it just sort of came together out of memories and ended up patina’d like a cowboy’s saddle.

I’m not showing at Bespoked but this bike will be there in the bike park, so if you want to give it a ride or have a look shoot me a message.

What can I say. You strive to create something beautiful that functions as well as it looks. It’s taken me over 2 years to roll out a frame I am 100% satisfied with. Tried some new things on this build including internal cable routing, hooded dropouts and fully cleaned welds and it came together like a dream. The cherry on the cake was the custom cerakote PDW fenders, king cages and pump, all done by James over at @cerakote_by_jws 💪🏻 also big thanks to @schwalbetyresuk for making my dream tyre! 38c Pro One😘

Went to @bespoked.cc at the weekend and only took pictures of my own bike in an alleyway. New fork got some nice patina in the Manchester rain. #Handmade #Framebuilding #FramebuildingUK #CustomBike #Columbus by @satsuma_cycles

Few from the weekend of tinkering. Planned on getting this one done months ago, but really life got in the way. #FrameBuilding #satsumaCycles #Handmade #FramebuildingUK taken in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire by @satsuma_cycles

Now the question is, paint it or leave it raw? This has been a lot of fun to build, almost as much fun as it is to ride it. #Framebuilding #CargoBike #Beater taken in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire by @satsuma_cycles
