AUSTIN’S 𝙊𝙉𝙇𝙔 BAR ™️
2023-2026

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

great news! you can now get plastic vampire teeth at what used to be Saturn Cocktail Club!

really thankful @mr_west_mr_fresh made this joke earlier this week because I’ve been laboring a lot over what to put up as the final Saturn post, and honestly how could it NOT be a stupid joke with serious writing underneath?

Massive love to everyone who came out Thursday to our final service and shared kind words with me about their experiences and memories with Saturn. It was so much to process it scrambled my brain. A lot of it still hasn’t hit me yet but I don’t like to sit around being quiet and contemplative I don’t have the measured personality or the book learnin’ for that sort of thing.
So I guess if I can narrow the focus to any one thing, what I’d like to say is that it was overwhelming to hear how many ways my little spot has been a part of so many people’s lives. People started and mourned relationships, made new friends, got inspired to do their own projects. Some got their careers started here, some people just had fun and that’s cool too. Being in here now and cleaning things up, and taking down everything and having the flashbacks of how much excited energy went into putting it all here in the first place is a lot. I guess the thing that fucked me up the most is hearing how much the identity of the place or the way I went about doing things inspired people and made them feel confident in themselves and that they too wanted to say something and do something. Just because we’re closing I sincerely hope that doesn’t change. Please remain inspired to do whatever shit you think is genuinely cool and different. People need it in one form or another; and if you really feel the need to create a thing it will never matter to you if there’s a chance it won’t work. If you’ve ever been to a self-checkout you should know, almost nothing “works.”
Happy to have made a difference to some people and very glad to have made so many cool friends. 💛 taken in Saturn Disco Cocktails by @saturnatx

Austin is losing a special one 💔 (LAST SLIDE)

After Thursday, @saturnatx will be closing its doors. For a place that brought so much personality, creativity, and energy to the city, it’s tough to see it come to an end.

Saturn was never just another bar. It had its own identity, its own community, and a team that clearly cared about creating something memorable. We’ve loved being here and experiencing everything they’ve brought to Austin.

If you’ve been meaning to visit, this is your last chance. Grab some food, have a drink, support the staff, and celebrate everything Saturn has been.

Thursday, October 8th. Final service. One last night at Saturn. 🪐

Let’s give them the sendoff they deserve! 😢 taken in Saturn Disco Cocktails by @saturnatx

🪐 We are incredibly bummed to tell you that this Thursday is @saturnatx’s final service

PLZ go show support and party with them one last time and help them pay some bills in the process

Swipe for some words from them

Some thoughts from us: we fucking love this place. We love everything they stand for. We love the way they operate. The ideas, the marketing, everything. Steven (aka @realbadlookin) is an absolute legend, Saturn was a win for humanity and we will always support everything he does. It’s such a shame to see “one of the good ones” close, but let’s celebrate the awesome LIFE that Saturn had and send ‘em off with a bang.

Love you @saturnatx, mean it. “Austin’s ONLY bar” will live on forever. taken in Saturn Disco Cocktails by @saturnatx

I’m throwing my own funeral. 10/8. Come pay your respects so we can pay some bills.

I’m a little more mental than normal right now so hopefully the post makes sense! I love ya’ll. See you in a few days.

Working on a few lil sentimental things to have available for the real freaks.
Message me with any questions I’ll try and be good about getting back to ya. taken in Saturn Disco Cocktails by @saturnatx

The best part of an event usually isn’t on the schedule.

It’s the conversations, the introductions, the laughter.

@atxcreatormeetups celebrated two years of bringing Austin’s creative community together—and this night was full of those moments.

That’s why I love event photography.
I’m not just documenting what happened. I’m capturing how it felt.

Let me know if you have an event coming up where you want your story told just like this ✨

We do brunch now.

There’s a burrito covered in green chile. A Bloody Mary made with house mix. A mimosa made with oranges we squeezed ourselves like it’s 1847.

Come eat breakfast in a bar. This is adulthood.

ONE OF DOWNTOWN AUSTIN’S FAVORITE DIVE BARS JUST LAUNCHED A WHOLE NEW COCKTAIL MENU 🍹🪐

If you haven’t been to @saturnatx before, consider this your sign! They’ve got everything you need for an ideal night out in Austin: hotdogs, unpretentious vibes, insanely good cocktails & entertainment!

THE RINGS OF SATURN

🍹The new cocktail menu centers around the idea of Mimetic Desire (we want things because others want the first), but some of the bars longtime favorites are still on the menu! Meaning the Frozen Root Beer Colada ain’t going nowhere!

⭐ Our two must try cocktails from the new lineup are: The Rosary and the Social Climber!

🪐 The vibe at Saturn is Miami tropical meets 70s disco and it works! Plus, who can resist a little sidewalk patio moment with a beer after work!

🌭 Don’t forget to grab a dog while you’re there too! It’s one of our top go-to dogs in the city!

🎞️ They even play old school movie classics on the walls of the bar to set the vibe!

🌴 Plus, they do insane programming from vinyl nights, open jams, concerts, comedy and football watch parties (they are a Miami Dolphins bar now)!

📷 And they have a photo booth! So you can have a fun keepsake to take home with you!

Whether you want a new post-work happy hour spot or want a chill night out in downtown, definitely add Saturn to your list!
