In Finland, sauna is a birthright and has been a natural part of daily life for ages. No performance, no bio hacking, no timers, or woo-woo rituals. Just the simple pleasure of slowing down. A routine of getting in and out based on feeling, and being fully present with no distractions.

Our top 3 no-no’s in Finnish sauna are:

1. Never open the door in the middle of löyly. Always wait until it settles.

2. Always make sure there’s water in the bucket. There is no such thing as a dry sauna in Finland.

3. No phones, and no music. Those two are worse than wearing flip flops and a tank top to a wedding. taken in Norway by @saunaes
