When @savaevents comes to us with an event, we know it is going to be something we love — and Caroline and Joshua’s wedding weekend certainly did not disappoint.They filled the weekend with thoughtful details for themselves and their guests, beginning with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Tiny Boxwoods. A neighborhood favorite filled with charm, it was the perfect setting for Sava’s vision of a soft blue-and-white evening: layers of garden roses, hellebores, sweet peas, and the prettiest variegated foliage set against powder-blue linen and warm, candlelit hospitality.Sava completed the table with blue-and-white china, giving the evening the feeling of an intimate fête at home rather than a grand production—a sensibility that carried beautifully throughout the entire weekend. Almost anything can be chic if you do it right, snails included 🐌 being that this was a garden wedding and the bride and groom were self-proclaimed slow movers (good things take time) snails became our unofficial official mascot. They were featured as the save the date (snail mail), an embossed detail on the invitation suite, hidden in the custom napkin embroidery, and even molded into little butter statues for dinner. Some throw petals or rice, some wave sparklers, and some pop silver streamers over the couple - whatever you choose, I love the pure joy in action showering the newly married couple in cheers and love as you send them off into their new life. It’s rare to cross paths with someone as detail-obsessed as myself, but I found my detailed soulmate in @snellyfurtado . The HOURS we spent pouring over the party cracker place cards (and the exaaaaact marble pattern), the snails made out of butter, the custom napkins with their own teeny tiny snail, the exact mushroom illustration for the welcome party invite, and the perfect salad plate to complement our pink and green cabbage plates — were so fun for me (because I’m insane and I love it).I live for debating, dreaming, refining, sourcing, scrapping, brainstorming, and screaming when you find the exact perfect thing. Couples who don’t think this way are just as fun to work with, it just means I get to do the obsessing on their behalf LOLThe joy of my work is translating a feeling or a vibe into something you immediately recognize as yours the moment you see it. And when we build something together, it belongs to only you — the specific combination of ideas, the sourcing rabbit holes, your personality, your people.
