POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

To grandpa, it has been the biggest blessing to have been loved by, supported by, and cared for by you. Being your youngest grandchild has been nothing but smiles, laughter, joy, and the best memories. To sleepovers with McDonald’s breakfast dates in the morning, listening to all your military stories, watching Gun Smoke on the TV, introducing me to the love for cameras, throwing the ball with me, always making some concoction in your shed & always wearing a flannel, to teaching me how to shoot a gun and bait a hook- I will forever cherish all the memories you have given me and the rest of the beautiful family you have created. Not only were you the best grandparent, but you were also the best father to my dad, uncle, and 2 aunts. Because of you, the Hicks family line knows how to love like no other. We never say goodbye without a hug and a kiss, we always thank the Lord no matter our circumstances, and we never give up. Instead, we get back up even stronger. And that is one thing that I will always remember when I’m having my hard days down here, missing you up there. But one thing I will never forget is the love you showed towards my grandmother without hesitation. I’ve never seen old southern true love like y’all’s. Even at the age of 87, you never stopped loving her the way you first loved her when y’all were in highschool. And that is something I will always keep close to my heart and to never forget the standards you have set for me. Grandpa, I miss you like hell, but I’m so happy you’re in a better place with your two grandsons - Jaxn snd Darian, and I’ll make sure to never forget the care you all gave me and the rest of us and we’ll forever cherish you guys down here. Until we meet again, I love you 🤍 by @savannahhhicks
